What do the gaps mean?
I've been reading the SP farming guides and I really don't know what the gaps mean and its confusing me
Gap simply means the difference between your level and your highest mastery level. Here's how it works out in formula form:
Your level - your highest mastery level = gap
As in if you are lets say level 16 with masteries bicheon 10 fire 10 light 5 ice 5 then the formula would go 16-10 = 6 gap since 10 gets counted because it's your highest mastery.
The purpose of gapping is to increase the amount of sxp you earn, although you decrease the amount of exp you earn. Higher the gap, higher the sxp you earn but the lower exp you earn.
