How can I become a merchant?

I'm a lvl 21 european mage. I bought both of the european merchant job items, AND I CAN'T PUT EITHER OF THEM ON!!!! :banghead:

What am I doing wrong?????

u need to join the corresponding job league
so talk to the npc where u bought the trader item from, then join the job league which u will pay 10k.

well now WHICH job league did u join? if ur a merchant u have to join the MERCHANT job leage. if u just left a league, u have to wait for 7 days before u can join another one or rejoin.

I joined the merchant league.....I have both merchant job items and I still can't put either on.....

In the same menu, there is create a job alias, it disguises your ign whenever you trade. Be sure to pick a name you're satisfied with because changing it costs a lot of gold.
