So, after venting...I'll need some help here. I've been told I only need a 2-3 gap to farm sp for a 2nd master. Does this still apply if I"m still solely Warrior at lvl 32? or should I go higher gap? Also, is there a "good" lvl to start farming? Like 42 or 50 or what? Thanks, and sorry for my vent. On the bright side, I like my sole warlock/lucifer just fine

Warriors Suck, but...
Since I've lvled up to 32 with my euro guy, I'll stick with him. I need a 2nd mastery, and am now heavily considering either warlock or cleric. I think it's a pain to have to change gear all the time, but what the heck, he gets owned WAY too much. Home boy is weak and wearing light armor does little to protect him. Plus, you gotta buy NPC crap usually b/c hardly anyone stalls anything worth buying and I NEVER get euro drops. LAME!

Ever tried farming in EUROPE, not China?
I get a LOT of euro drops, and after lv 30 you can acctually earn more money selling those drops to usual NPC blacksmiths then going for trade runs and thieving....
Anyway, back on topic:
Euro chars don't really need to "farm" in a way china guys need to. If you keep a 2-3 gap constantly you'll have pretty much all the SP you need, if you stick to one class.
Now, developing 2 classes DOES require some farming, I guess, but nothing drastical...

Actually, I do. Altho recently I started grinding in DW. My reason for this is my high lvl chinese character gets almost nothing BUT euro drops out in Takla. Out of ten drops, I'd say probably 1-2 are chinese! so I figured I'd have better luck in china getting euro drops than in euro! lol
Anyways, back to farming. Since I'm already 32, I'd assume I'd need higher than 3 gap to get a 2nd mastery? I 0 gapped up to 32 (with the help of some powerlvling from my guild mates
any ideas? thanks

I did the same thing with my cleric, and when I reached lv 30 I took wizard as my sub-class... After I had taken some new skills I figured I'm gonna have hard time getting decent SP and skills
Well, I guess you should level your character about 3 levels and keep the gap from then on.
As I see it, you don't really need much SP for your sub class, because you're not gonna take every damn skill in that class (that is, you SHOULDN'T
So, yeah, I guess I'd keep it at 3 gap...

Ok, awesome. Now, which subclass would you do? Warlock or Cleric?

dont you dare put in warlock. dont put in cleric either, if youre going to use it to attack.
below level 40, china gets no euro drops, and vice versa. just keep going with the warrior, and wear HEAVY ARMOR.
ok...I what about defense? I forgot to mention, I'm dual axe pure str. defenses SUCK on this guy, gets killed way too easily IMO. So, should I do cleric for defensive purposes then? I was thinking about going heavy armor, if that will sufficiently help with defenses then I will. Plus, it looks a helluva lot nicer than light armor, which is lame!

Hm, I haven't yet figured out what classes combo work best, but I can understand that warrior-cleric isn't really the best option...
Cleric is mainly used for protective purposes to those classes that acctually need protection, like rogue (when using Xbow Xtreme) or wizard. For a warrior, who is defensive enough already, cleric won't be much of a bonus...
Now, warlocks are weird species
Theoreticaly, they work good with any class since their bad-ass negative buffs can make even Lord Yarkan look like a Mangyang... But I'm not very familliar with them, so I can't say anything for sure. Try to check some guides on sub-classing a warrior, I guess It will help.
(p.s. I may be an idiot, but right now, I'd take rogue as sub-class

yeah, I was REALLY considering taking a rogue as a sub class too. I love the crits they can get. but then people starting clamouring about how cleric is the best or bard. Look, I want to be evil if I can, and I love the warlock skills, so being a christian cleric is not my first choice
So, I know that some skills are unusable when you're equiped with other gear. i.e. some cleric skills will not work when wearing armor and having an axe. I wonder what warlock skills are lost when switched to warrior gear? and vice versa? It seems like there are countless rogue, warlock and wizard guides, but for the life of me, I cannot find one on warriors, so if anyone knows of one, please link me, that would rule

If your choosing between warlock and cleric as your sub go for cleric, being pure Str build you will still be using warrior gear to do all your damage, just have a cleric rod to use to heal yoursef when you need to.
Being a full str build you wont ever heal a party, or at least you shouldnt - your low mana pool will mean everyone dies a lot, as such you will only need a few cleric skills (bless spell, ress and a heal or two). At 40 you get recovery divison which is a great 5 min HoT that you can cast then switch to warrior mode and you will get healed every 5 seconds or so for a small amount - enough to solo grind normal mobs without using hp pots.
If you just want to do more damage, then switch to rogue, they are the only other class that will do more dmg with a pure str build.
As for Gap i was pure cleric till about lvl 30 when i then decided to go wizard too for faster grinding. i now have both cleric and wizard skills at the same lvl and have enough sp with a 4 gap (you might be able to get away 3, as full cleric build and a 3/4 wizard build uses a LOT of SP)

IMHO, a 1-handed warrior/crossbow rogue is the best STR combo, and one of the better builds for Euro solo play.
Normally use crossbow extreme to grind. Xbow has knock-back and knock-down skills to keep mobs away. If giant or party mobs come close, switch to s/s to instantly get rid of your rogue buffs and boost your defense. The reach of the xbow and defense of the s/s complements each other perfectly. Only thing is, you will have to farm, or level at least with a 4/5 gap.

thanks. I'm thinking of doing dual axe warrior, xbow rogue combo because I've already lvld up my dual axe skills to 34, so..yeah.
talking to a buddy, he recommended xbow too, so I think I'll do that....and just stay away from making warlock my 2nd mastery. I have a warlock build as well, so I can always just use that character if I need to in a party.

taht sounds like a plan. I think I'll go rogue then
I should probably start gapping soon then so I can start lvling up. also, since I"m set on rogue, what specific skills should I get. dont' wanna waste sp on pointless skills

The passive only works in stealth (and you move at like 50% speed in stealth?). Scud has a cooldown time of like 2-3 minutes.
Bards also get Noise, which = Self-based Harmony Therapy (No non-giant/non-champion mobs will attack you). the speed buff (Swinging march?) at 80 cap has a movespeed of +90%, which means almost twice the moving speed.

it depends on whether what wepon you are going to use
are you going to use both xbow and dagger or only one of them?
if you are going to lvl up only one mastery (rogue obviously), then you don't really need to worry about sp, just lvl up at a gap of 3 or 4
