I keep all my third tier 8d equip/weapon drops. Thats a given.
For all other 8d drops, I never npc them, or sell them unless they are stall worthy. I'll try to alchemy/enchant them and sell for more. For the rest, well, you know that trick where you could test to see if rondoing will give any stones? Well, for 4 slot items, dont npc. Add dura, steady, parry, whatever cheap blues you can to it (like anti zombify on accessories etc) then test again with that rondo trick. You'll see that it will require more than 4 slots. Sometimes i can get 6slot items to go to 7 or 8, by adding blues. I've gotten more luck stones this way

Trick in judging which items when destroyed rondo will give you a high chance of stones (this is well known).
Make sure your inventory slots are full, then take the equip to be destroyed and place in alchemy material tab window with a destroyer rondo. Press fuse and on the bottom right of your status window it will say, "You require 4 slots". So that equip is a "4 slot item" meaning if you break it you will only get 4 items ie elements.
4 slot item = only 4 different elements
5 slot item = elements + a small chance of getting 1 or 0 stone/s
6 slot item = elements + a small chance of getting 2, 1 or 0 stone/s
7 slot item = elements + a decent chance of getting 3, 2, or 1 stone/s
8 slot item = elements + a good chance of getting 3, 2, or 1 stone/s (i've never gotten 4 stones)
Stones could be jade or ruby, and since the more chances of you getting a stone when you destroy rondo an equip, the better the chance you will get a luck stone (I've gotten a luck stone from a 5 slot item once, but its rare; I've gotten 2 luck stones from a 6 slot item once too).
Usually at this point, most players will just sell 4 slot items to npc, or stall them. What you could do instead is add cheaper jade stones like stone of master (durability increase), stone of dodging (parry increase), stone of steady (which you could get easily from previous rondoing, and its good cause it adds to the equip with a 100% success rate), stone of revive (zombify on accessories). The more blues you could add, the better. Then try and judge the equip again using the trick above. Usually your previous 4 slot items will now require 5 or 6 slots to be open.
This trick also works for 5, 6, 7 slot items, thus increasing their potential to 6, 7, and 8 respectively. Though this doesnt guarantee you to get a luck stone, it does increase your chance in getting one.
Hope that helps,
Syl
