I dont see what all the fuzz is about.One thing I do know.In silkroad online u go around hitting and killing(pk'ing) people/monsters it resemblances the real thing,does this mean we should change the game into something without resemblances to violence?

Its made pretend,just like in movies.Same goes for religion,if you feel offended about things in sro i think its your problem,dont play the game.

Freedom of speech and tolerance makes it all so much simpler.

sro is based on the silkroad during 700 - 770 ad

while islam was rising
western rome was dying
and china was in a golden age.

during the rise of islam, like all religions.... there where many heretics who spoke arabic.

these heretics or infidels would use the lords tongue to defile the prophet and his messages.

back in the day (700 AD - 770 AD) if a muslim trader hunter or thief saw that blasphemous midget, the midget would be dead.

so in all honesty the game is an accurate description of the silkroad.

Come on people .. i read the whole first page of posts, then got bored and skimmed through pages 2-5 expecting to find the SS of Hotan boat guy saying offensive stuff or other offensive religious stuff, but all i see is 5 pages full of flaming and such, SS PLZ =)

And btw its just a game, it isn't designed to make everyone happy. If you dont like it, simply ignore it or quit the game

Oh and now seeing pics of the real life Silk Road, i would have to say that JM did a really great job with the designing, GREAT WORK JM ^^

Its just a game. Muslims shouldnt get offended. The intent wasnt to offend. The ingame props are all fictional even though historically based.

Any other discussions on religion, not related to sro should be posted in a different forum, or the OTL <.<.

I'm not, just that if people here wanted to debate intelligently on serious matters such as religion (which is perfectly fine to talk about), there should be another section for it on this forum (which I suggested to be OTL, cause thats the most relevant that comes to mind). Not saying OTL is a trash bin for unwanted discussion, I like that section more than the other section we have here on this forum :love:
