demand for rogues in parties

Post by Jstar1 »

One guide says that rogues are more for soloing and that they are not in high demand for parties

is this true? Because I'd like to be a rogue + cleric subclass and be in a party when killing mobs and I'm wondering how hard it is to join a party

yeah man ... people don't say : need rogue for party .. but they will not prevent you from joining ...

And don't try to be cleric in parties if the party have cleric .. you are a str build and your healing will not so much .. any int or hybird cleric will do the job better ... but you can cleric if there is no cleric .. or if the situation go worse ..

Stay a rogue and deal the most damge in party with wizards and all monsters will die fast preventing them from doinng great damge on party members or make them die ... you can also switch to cleric every 3 minutes and bless spell .. or switch to cleric when the cleric die or many people died .. it depends on your tactics ...

and plz read my replay in this topic :

Rogues are needed as much as any damage dealing class.

the only classes that you are likly to ever see ppl activly looking for are Warriors, clerics and Bards (although the bard is generally only for moving march - tho mp regen is nice - and most ppl seem to have bard as a subclass)

I Play a cleric, and it can sometimes be a pain having everyone ask you to join their pt, but that being said i dont think (apart form myself*) ever seen anyone turn away players.

* I got a pet hate aginst any melee dps in all games ( i play a healer a lot) so i tend to only take wizards and locks...xbow rogues annoy me cause most try to solo too much with extreame xbow up...which just means more work for the cleric.

the only class ppl don't as for is Rogue and Warlock...i've seen multiple post asking for Bards, Clerics, Warriors, and Wizards

but like someone else said being a rogue won't prevent you from joining any parties unless they specifically need a certain class they'll let you in...
