you get taller when you sleep

Heard of this before, didnt know there was a certain time though. I dont need to grow there, was 6'1 at 12 and 6'3" now, im happy with it

You got it all wrong that hormone(dont remember)prevents your body cells to become larger or smaller.and is only produced when its dark(night)
when you are sleeping thats why it's bad to sleep in an light room.And it is prooved that blind people's risk of becoming Cancer is %1.and people that sleep in the right time dont get old as fast as the people that dont sleep.

Despite what freedom fighters say, humans, like dogs, have different races.

Although our differences aren't as dramatic as the difference between a german shepperd and a poodle, there is a different. Now, i'm not trying to degrade any races, the difference between us isn't negative, it's simply different.

The average height of a black is more, the average height of an asian is less, than a white. It's just nature. However, with globalization things are starting to change, people are adapting to environmental effects (which are most likely the source of the physical differences between the races). Tall asians and small blacks are becoming more and more common.

And just to add, I saw a documentary where they tried to find the truth about blacks having bigger man tools. It's found that penis length, like shoe size or hand size, is proportional to the body size. Chances are, if you have a big shoe size, you're tall, and your penis would be proportional to your body. But it must be said, the difference between a 5 foot man and a 6 foot man was barely anything noticable. And, of course, there are exceptions. I've seen some 5 foot guys have bigger feet then some 6 foot guys, same rule applies to penis size.

I found that the ones that get tall early, don't develop much muscle mass as they age. They end up tall and scrawny =/

That's pretty much me. 6' and 145 pounds.

Started running, karate. working out, so I'm getting a bit more muscle mass. =]

Although I'm happy that being skinny is my problem as apposed to being to fat.

im 5' 7'' and im 15

my dad also says that bigger feet means that you will be tall

because hes about 5'9'' or 6' and my feet are bigger than his

so he says I will be taller than he is.

Is that true too?

Also, im taller than a lot of my friends, but really really skinny.

I weigh about 115 lbs. Im like a stick

so my dads like "you can grow up taller than me and then work out so you can buffed up"

cause he says working out when your young makes you short >_<

I'm asian and I'm like 5'9" and I sleep at around 10:30 every night. But I really doubt when you sleep has a significant impact on how tall you are.

Sometimes dom....the concept of Race is circumstantial and its meaning has changed over the course of human history...it ones implied the area of ones berth and in other places is described your tribal affiliation. As far as im concerned skin color didn't become a deciding factor in race until 1400-1700+ depending on where you lived.

German Shepherds and poodles are different BREEDS not race. Also the effects of evolution in different "races" can only be seen in area where interracial mixing is prominent. The Africans in Kenya are still tall and fast same as always they haven't seen a sudden surge in short Kenyans. IMO mixing the different "races" of ppl has just divided the gene pool or evenly. Since the Africans that were originally brought to America were the biggest and strongest they could find eventually after mixing with white ppl native Americans etc its only natural that there gene pool become diluted and begin to show sign more prominent in other "races"

I do know for a fact that when you sleep, your height increases. When you stand up, the force of gravity pushes down on your spine along the vertical axis of your body. Our spines are being compressed due to gravity/atmospheric pressure everyday. Now, when we lie in a prone position, over time as we sleep, our spine stretches back out, increasing our height (to a very small degree of course). This is becuase while the force of gravity is still directing a force downwards, along the vertical axis of our body, our spine is along the horizontal axis, so it has room to stretch and is not being complressed.

Only argument I see there is that the breed+race one. There is no difference between the two, english makes the distinction for animals, some other languages do not. eg: french, dutch, greek
