you would be suprised how much the servers are lagging at the moment... when I lag I ask if my guild are and they say that they are as well so I know its not my wireless.. I use a PCI interface card so mine will b faster than your USB

Its not only that, its a couple of things.
- Strenght of signal
- USB / PCI
- Lag from SRO itself
- USB version
- Your internet connection

Else try another channel (standard is 11 i think)

i used to game via use wireless and had no lag because of connection only due to server aka when your in a town or somewhere like first yarkan spawn ever

so i doubt its limited to 11mbps with usb 2.0

il look it up i hate been wrong rofl

heres the full explanation i found it on
www.everythingusb.com wrote:USB (or Universal Serial Bus) is a 13-year old standard that was originally designed to connect then smart phones to PCs in the mid-90s. It later became the de facto standard for connecting any external, thanks to USB's built-in power supply and relatively fast speeds. The then-unique one-cable approach sparked a revolution that spawned everything USB (no, not this site) ranging from flash drives, hard drives, speakers, TV tuners to webcams. All these top at 12Mbps, at which speed is only good for mice and keyboards; so the official USB body upgraded the specs to USB 2.0, adding Hi-Speed USB mode operating at 480Mbps. As more applications moved on to wireless thereafter, the same group decided to follow the trend by cutting the wire in the latest Certified Wireless USB 1.0 standard, completed in 2005. And now, we are currently in the pre-WUSB era.

4. How fast is USB 2.0?
USB 2.0 has a raw data rate at 480Mbps, and it is rated 40 times faster than its predecessor interface, USB 1.1, which tops at 12Mbps. Originally, USB 2.0 was intended to go only as fast as 240Mbps, but in October 1999, USB 2.0 Promoter Group pumped up the speed to 480Mbps.

As far as we know, effective rate reaches at 40MBps or 320Mbps for bulk transfer on a USB 2.0 hard drive with no one else is sharing the bus. Flash Drives seem to be catching up too with the some hitting 30MB/s milestone. For all we know, USB interface could become become the bottleneck for flash drives as early as 2008.
Ooh, I got a sexy ex-staff title!
