In-town spam is rediculous beyond belief

I dont know if it is like this in any other servers, but in Sparta, no matter what town I go to, theres about 4 or 5 spam bots standing in town doing nothing but spamming over and over, advertising retarted websites that sell gold or powerleveling. If I remember correctly, according to the End User Liscense Agreement, advertising websites in game like this is a violation of terms. Yet it continues. It makes in town chat and trade impossible. It was not like this about 7 or 8 months ago. I could sit and Donwhang and chat with everyone, and see what was being said the whole time. Now its lost amongst the flood of text pouring in every 2 seconds. I dont know about you, but Ive had it. A huge chunk of human interaction on this game has been completely lost, and its quite sad really. From what Ive seen, Joymax has done a good job on rooting out the kill stealing bots. Now, please do something about these spam bots. And I urge anyone who feels the same as me about this, to write Joymax and voice your opinion as well. Maybe if enough people complain they might do something about it.

yeah jangan in mercury and in constantinople is terrible.
mercury is also FULL of bots at chakji workers.
and i mean full. its currently 2 players/bots to 1 chakji worker

the stall netowork has fixed the only problem i had with spambots, now i dont have to advertise the stuff i sell, so spam away, i dont read it and i doubt anyone else does

Joymax are trying to shutdown the source of the proplem
theres no point in banning em since there gonna come back like 10 mins later
its much better to shutdown the source then waste time on small things

there also trying to do the same with bots

I usually DC spam bots with stalls lol.
They dont come back for a while

Well, if i remember correctley. The problem is that they cant just shutdown the website of the Spam Botters, because they are hosted in countries, and its a whole legal battle that they need to get into.

Its not as easy as one thinks to shut down a website.

you think silkroad is bad try 2moons u wil get 1000000% more mad in that game so much spam @_@ the stalls are ridicilus its like 90% of the ppl stall 24/7 making so much lag in town

idk if anyone has realised or it jut could be me the spambots r DC each other sometimes.I think so cuz theres always some spam bot advertising then after 2 seconds it stopped only to be replaced by some other spam bot O.o.Of course could just be me

Yea there out of control i hate them. If they cant ban them they should put in some kinda chat blocker. Just right click on there name and click block and well never have to see there text again... xD

The only thing that sucks is that before they use to stall and them spam, so it was easy to DC them using the Thief Return Scroll glitch... but now they run around spamming gold prices and whatnot... sadness

gaymax can i hire me for $150 an hour .. ill visit towns and regular botspots 24/7 to ban every botter / textspammer :roll:

i am farming a new char at bandit archers and found a lvl 21 sos and cant be bothered stalling it so i try and sell it in chat but every time i type something the bots cover it up

Yes its pretty bad the spam bots are now officialy the most annoying thing in hotan. I can barely see the chat of what people are selling before its gone due to spam bots.

Seriously, HT is so polluted right now. Every time I need to chat in guild, I have to switch to guild channel, and same thing with Union chatting.

All bots are equally retarded.

I close chat box when I'm in town (switch to party/guild chat or something). I'm compulsive by nature, so I keep reading the same spam over and over again T,T.
