Exp rate..

Post by -Evan »

I had this on my mind ever since we got the 80 cap....

We all know that iSRO started at 60 cap. So anyone have thought about the exp rate being adjusted for the 80 cap, because what I know is the exp hasn't changed since 60 cap and it was optimized for that cap.

Sorry for the grammar mistakes.

I just wanted to say that... if the current exp rate was meant for the 60 cap, why not adjust it so grinding to 80 wouldn't take so long(the legit way).

Just my 2 cents.

Are you talking about the xp level requirements?

I'm pretty sure that every mob level gives +10% xp then the last one...so that hasn't really changed to my knowledge

Suggestions to fix iSRO:
-Gold wipe
-Daily Bot bans
-Make SoX items acquirable only with Honor Points

Whats the point of it though? Being high lvl isnt about just being a "high lvl", it is spending the thousands of hours it takes to get there. Thats what makes a high lvl worth it. If they made it lets say 50% easier to lvl up, then it would see a spawn of high lvl players. It would minimize the social superiority that comes with being a high lvl.

Also from a business perspective, by increasing the exp rate people will be grinding less. This will mean people wont buy as much silk to grind with, meaning joymax will loose money. From this perspective it is in their best interest to keep it the way it is.

But a lot of people see it is impossible to get to lvl 80, so they will quit and JM loses money.

there you go your answer.
making it easier to level does not give you any special feeling when you finally hit that level.

My point isn't to make it EASY as in Double the exp rate or Lower the Exp requirement per level... What I thought was maybe they could increase the exp rate a little everytime we increase a cap..

Come one, Who the F*** will play SRO(in a legit way) when we reach more higher caps...

I don't want flames but... You all could be saying that because you probably have spent more time outside rather than playing but still reached the cap.

why all the rush? It is all about how you think and how you feel this game has no time limit you can do it anytime if you got the money for it
you don`t have to play each day this is not a race for whoever hits cap first. take your time if you simply cant grind daily.

By jm, the most important part of the game is jobbing.
therefore it should be easier for us to reach the cap so there would be more competition or "fair" competiotn , w.e u wanna call it, in jobs.

lol don't think anyone gets u

he's saying that the lvl rate, ie how much xp you get per lvl, was set when the cap was 60. Now it's 80 and heading for 90, should this ratio be adjusted?

never thought about it, but don't think it matters, so many bots, n now that euro doesn't require so much farming ...

Who said that it's a race... Read again... *sigh* Since most high level people bots... what do they know about grinding and farming by hand... Even though you have GT+Premium.. Can you imagine the amount of time it takes to have a decent character?....

And without a decent character how can you participate well in the triangular conflict(jobbing) which is the main purpose of the game...

i know how hard it is busy on my second full farm already on 180k so close to halfway, there is no point making it easier the only people who win are the botters anyway, good hand grinders can level a lot faster if you share account with someone else who can play on your account for about 3 to 6hours even without shared account you can manage to level fast enough to enjoy it, you can`t win from the bots if you don`t share.

now with the party mobs its actually not that hard to level anymore, i believe the exp/sp ratios will stay the same but probably more silk items or more party grind options.

I actually agree with you Evan.

Should be multipliers in place though, which increase the exp amount gained after a certain period.

Say the norm is 1x rates (duh), this should remain the same for level 1 - 60.

Then maybe 1.5x rates for 60 - 70, and 2x rates for 70 - 80.

I wonder what the sro players have with the cap. I mean, on many MMORPGs you can barely get close to the cap, other than WoW being ridiculously easy to reach maximun cap and Guild Wars because their cap is extra low, all other MMORPGs I know take a very long while to reach cap.

Cap isn't supposed to be easy to reach.

At least on Oasis, I know maybe two high levels who are legit (Deacon, who is around these forums, being one of them. Even some people in his guild/union bot). Almost all high levels bot since the point of the game is to get to cap.

In my guild I have a friend...actually he's the only other person in the guild since I didn't want...non friends in it. Anyway, he's a lvl 76 blader with an sosun, pure str. There's no point in him pvpin or doing jobbing since...he dies. Jobbing = 80, unless you want to be one of those asshats who just kills people who are obviously low level. All he can do is cape pvp since at least that way he won't lose exp.

Blah. Seeing as I STILL don't have an 80 even after....how many years has it been since the game came out...and people who I grinded with and farmed with have capped 80s...well...yeah....>.< *anger*

Also, sharing an account is the same as botting in accordance with the rules that Joymax sets. So, if you're going to share, you might as well bot since you're breaking the rules either way.

(For the record though, I share my accounts, there's no way in hell that I see anyone reach cap without spending on silk, and I refuse to, at least for now).
I need power level of a euro lvl 12 account. 200K per hour (oasis)

Because if it were easier to get to 80 bots would get there faster! And we all know all the lvl 80s in the game are all non-bots!
