Is Spear a Good choice for Jobs?

Currently im using sword/shield but I feel like having a shield for grinding/jobs can sometimes be overrated..As a pure int s/s I feel like most of the times its to kill or be killed..So what do u think,Might Spear be a better choice for Jobs & grinding or should I just stay S/S?

Im not interested in pvp..Most of the lvl 80's are bots anyway so there is no point competing.

I say stay s/s. What if you're a thief pvping a hunter? That one little block will give you time to pot up and save your behind. What if you have 6 npc thieves on you? Once again, that little block will give you time to both kill 2-4 of them off or pot.

but if you went spear you get a big hp bonus every 10 levels

so i say s/s.. that hp increase will do nothing if they can i hit or 2 hit kill ya..

then go hybrid int spear... thats my build

Go Hybrid Int Spear....Good idea..Only problem is i'm lvl 74.I think its unlikely to make an effective Hybrid Int spear at the 80 cap...

Do u think if i put all points in str till lvl 90(yes at 90 cap) that my build as a hybrid int would be any effective?(im pure int till 74)

I use s/s for pvp or jobbing and have a spear for when i grind....using a +5 spear gives ya a bit more damage that might 1hit mobs u dont with a +5 sword or allow you to nuke/shout somethin that takes 2 sword nukes.

I keep the s/s with me while grinding so i can use the shield buff and if a bot comes and tries to ks your giant you toss on s/s and use kd+stab combos.

spear unless you have mana shield on is pretty lame for pvp as a pure int, a same lvl str bow/glaive can almost kill u in 1 hit with a good crit
