1st of i wanted to say that i will do this threat in english because, i will post it in a few forums, so iam too lazy to wirte it 2 times, (german and english), i hope u can understand this, maybe someone isnt so lazy and translate this 4 the users here who are not so familiar with english, thx
as mabey a few of u ppl around here knew, gngwc took place in leipzig (germany) on 23.08 this month and we took the chance to speak with [GM]Gargamel like 30min about the game i would say, so i will do this in a q&a style interview, iam sure i will forget a ton of what he was sayin or what i askd but i think there will be some interesting things 4 ya, maybe the guys who was there with me add the content ive forgot
quests here are in a random order
1. as u know, there is a returnscrollbug now in the game, when u go to hotan u get most of the time disconnectet
-- the pb with that is, thats it seems very randomly appear, so its realy hard to fix but we working right now on that but i cant say, how long this will take but the programmers of sro investigating that problem
2. do u know the inetpage: rev6, this stats side and what u think a bout that
-- sure i know this side and iam used to say, that we from sro, realy dont like it because this informations shown there are only belong to the players
3. when the lvl90 update will come ?
-- it will come, i would say its dont when its done
4. is there any plan for silkroad online 2 ?
-- i cant say nothing about that cuz iam not a programmer or artist but i think the ppl there will work on new content (me: i think this is a nice polite ansaw cuz it "seems" there start to work on the artworks or someth)
5. is it true that the botters who buy silk will not be punished or ban ?
-- this is realy not true becuz if i ban a acc, i never look on the silk history or someth link that, its very common to just ban the acc and dont look on the details... (like what gear aso)
6. i allways thought u are one of the guys who start to program the game, this is true or just a rumor ?
-- well, iam working for jm since a long time but only as [GM], so i never program 1 singel code line
7. is it true that items a fixd amount of luck ? (meens: some items dont go +5 +4 etc...)
-- no this is not true, the luck with pimping items is full random
8. what is really the total max to + a item
-- there is no limit on that, u can go +200 but this aint never will happen cuz the % of the sucess to do a plus decrease if the item is higher
9. is there any feedback from the korean users about the new dungeon ?
-- *laugh* they are at the moment to busy with grinding i think
10. how many uniques are in this new dungeon ?
-- we invited a new "thing" in this dungeon, acualy there are 7 uniques in this chintomp and u have to to kill them in a row to see the last big boss, so u have to kill the 1st, then the 2nd aso...
(i think i was asking more about that but i forgot this actualy, i ask someth about spawn times aso but i think other guys divert or he did, he just sayd about that , he did try it on a testserver or someth, and i was fun ^^)
11. nowadays is realy impossible to use the all chat in towns cuz of the goldseller - spam bots, u think this will change or u can do someth about that?
-- as u know good selling is forbitten and we will ban this chars (as we all this , i think this aint will fix the pb cuz this guys will just do a newa acc, and spam again, actualy i think a good solution that 4 would be: catch a the string u are going to write and look if the next string is the same, if this is like that, u cant send it, but i was unable at this interview to tell him that...sry ^^)
12. i heard 1 day in a forum that u can detect bots easily thou several things
-1st may be u can invite a system that is used by players, like u have a box, and in there is a button where u can write a name or someth and mark this player as botter, it would be way more easy to report them, whats ur thought about that ?
-- well, we as jm, try realy to take care of the customers, so we actualy think this aint a good tool becuz u can use this on anyplayer just to make them markd as botter and this is not the way we want to go becuz, we think, alll players are innocent as long as its not proved that he is bot, so many ppl will use this function in a bad way, i think thats why we dont will invite this system
-2nd i think i can be easly detected when botters play like 24h+ or 60h+ u see what i mean, cuz no player in the world plays 24 a day, actualy sure there are some crazy ppl but this is like 0,0001% of all players, so i can be a good opportunity to take a closer look on this guys who "play" so long ? what u think a bout that
-- (now comes a lil weird answer i would say) we never can be sure just on the amount of time that the user is botting (orly ?), there can be ppl who play this char with friends (i sayd: yes but this is prohibiten...) the rest i forgot -.-
13. whats a bout the sa ? (silkroad assitens)
-- there are stilll a few left, like TeeKay on Oasis server but most of em are gone, the pb with getting new SA´s is that no one is there to take care of then, thats why we dont hire more atm... but they are doing good work and report all bugs they can find (actualy this is there task(dont report bots to them, thats not there task and they cant do anything about this issue))
14. what u thinkk about the honor systems and the rewards that from ?
-- i think is a good way to get such a item but it sure takes ages (surprise surprise)
15. who decides when the update(like lvl90) to become appear in ISRO ?
--this is my task, only iam decided when a update comes out and whats in there, its very hard to decided what will be in this updates becuz the technical issues on that are very hard to mange, its not like: u take update and patch the servers, there are many pb with that, like f.e. as the alcemie update came out the cr and bl increase, so everything in the game works together and if u put new content in it there can come some major bugs so we have to test a lot ...
15.1 well dont u use ur experience from ksro to dont make this bugs appear in ISRO ?
-- the pb on this issue is that this 2 versions of the game are very different and we cant say what bugs will come when we will put new content on ISRO but surely we use the exp from KSRO , like we did 15sec potdelay on ISRO cuz we saw that the 30sec in KSRO dont work, so this can be a good example from such issues
16. dont u think i would be nice from the sro community to get more information from u, like, "ok we know there is a bug -- we are investigate this and fix it ?" cuz all (actualy the guys and me who was speak to him) think that it will increase the happiness of users to get better informed about what u really do ....!
-- surely we could do that but we dont will do this cuz many, or most of the users just want that we fix this bug asap and they dont will understand that i takes time, so this will just be a "mess" (my word ...^^) to say someth like that cuz, they think its easy and we can get rid of it very fast but it aint like this (i think on this question i forgot someth more, sry about that)
