Warlock subclass, what do you think is best?

So i read the warlock guide on the forums and it said not to have a subclass and go pure Warlock what do you guys think? should i go bard just for speed boost or cleric for m.def and p.def? or which other classes would do good.

IMO cleric will be good for recovery division, that would help you last longer.
Although you can get a warrior as you'r sub, I've seen a guy doing this and he kinda owned everything. lol
The guy was using the one-handed sword skills as you only need to switch the warlock rod for the sword and your set to pwn.

I will have omit cleric as a sub, obviously with vampire kiss, you can forget abt healing skills from cleric. Or just use sleep skill when giant spawn, then run away.

There was a Cleric with Warrior sub for the shield bash skill. No reason a warlock would not benefit from that as well.
