Class help: Hybrid Sword Or 70/70+ bow
I would like to start by saying hi all ^^ Ok , so a new server is coming out,and i have no idea what to play.
Ive tried europeans, but tbh i dont like party killing too much, and the warriors dont seem to have too much diversity(one row of skills xD)
Ive heard some nice things about hybrid sword; being good at nearly everything and all,but i see ALOT of ppl saying that 70/70-80/80 bow build is ...well...pretty much the ultimate pvper.
Also heard that they require some serious sp farming but a like most ppl say,"no pain no gain"!
Both have range, but which do you guys think is the better in pvp & pve whilst being the most fun in the long run?
note:I saw some video of ksro with archers shooting off of what seems to be a castle?or maybe its jangan i dont remember too well.

well depends on what you dig really
70:70 bow fights from long range in pvp. the KB and the stuns are awsome tools.
leveling a bow before lvl 30 is easier too, proabably less sp intensive among the 2 builds, because you don't need the nukes at least, and those are sp killers
teh only down side is buying arrows that fills up your inventory, at least that's for me
hybrids s/s are pretty sp intensive, you need nukes + sword skills, and when you are leveling you don't do as much damage as spear users, but still relatively fast, so I really recommand sp farming
but if you dig hybrids you have a higher defense because of the shield also a block can save your life! while a bow have no defense at all.
other wise bow or s/s its up to what you like more. personally I like seeing the person being knocked down and helplessly get stab 3 times
good luck buildign your new character

Awesome feedback! Thanks ^^ well yeah i like being able to take punchs and dish'em just as good
.On top of it all hybrids are a unique being with a potentially great diversity which is what attracts me to them(takes time to get old!/?).
I was always under the impression that both lived for decent amounts of time, hearing that the bow user can stun and knock-back as well as keeping his/her distance using the grass walk tree, and the hybrid sword can block and/or knock-down and run(lets not forget the stabbing!)
I see the votes are pushed towards the bow user ftm anyone else have any comments or advice? If so lay it on me!

i guess ill tell some more about hybrid swords:
pure ints: when they have armor i eat them with no problems, when protector its a little harder but i still own them most of the time. with garment on its hard to kill.
glavie: most of them have garment and they have so much hp so its a little hard to kill them, especcialy when they have nice garments on i do sucky damage
blade: they are just annoying
i cant kill them unless they have n00bgear or 3/4/5+ levels lower then me
bowmen: hmm if they have knockback its pretty annoying to fight them but their damage is not that much unless they have sun bow their crits are pretty scary though. i dont have much to say about bowmen because i didnt fight alot of them
i have +3 set and +5 sword i have almost no str on my gear and 45 int so i have to do some alchemy my level is 77 btw

Lol I'm starting to think ppl like to make the poll 50/50
Ok then, how about asking this:In the future update, which will probably better at the stronghold wars(siege)?
Thats kinda the question I've really been asking from the beginning.I just couldn't confirm that they would actually exist in the future until now
Off topic:
If you are int or heavy-int hyb, your set is just +3 and you have almost no str on your gear I cant believe that you own as you said. Basically, any int or heavy int build with almost no str on their gear can be 1-hitted for all the others builds.
On topic: you can get good fun with both builds and both can be very good at pvp. With and hybrid bow you can have "peak" damage when its crits considerably higher than s/s, but with appropiate gear, a good shield with critical 100 blue and snow shield you can tank a lot with the s/s.
With new skills implematation, bow now has stun and critical increase on their stronger skill so it will not be very unusual have a double crit and you can pvp with just 2 last books of strong bow and devil arrow to have always 350% damage and complemetenig with 5-arrow combo to cancel attacks. If you go with s/s you can cast inmediatly snow shield, go directly to tank with new chains to provoke division and bleed status effects, and with those effects the damage of the sword can be higher than the damage of the spear.
So both builds can be deadly but it depend on you which you you choose.

Latest additionNow that I kill them all I can rest in peace ^^
