Hi, I've got a level 9 (pure str/fire build) archer in training. I've decided to sp farm at 16. However, I've heard that sp farming at 16 is rather tedious without a level 16 sos/som/upgraded bow. Since a level 16 sos bow costs around 2million, would it be possible to earn 2 million by level 16 (constant level 9 gap) or should I level till 20+ and delevel back ( I want a perfect no nonsense build).

As from what I've read it's best to level to 16 with mastery 7 (9 lvl gap) then continue lvling with mastery 7. Its best to lvl to 24. lvl 21 also works. Get the wepon there. Then de-level to 16. With the stats and weapon you should be strong like lvl 21/24 and fight red monsters 1 hit which will give u tons of SP. But getting to lvl 21/24 will cost you serious amount of time because with lvl 7 mastery u will get like 20 xp or something. That way by the time you hit 21/24 you will have 10 mil maybe even more. So use them to buy the godliest weapon you find. That's from me. If I'm wrong correct me.

IMO it will not be possible for you to be ab le to buy an sos bow why the time you get to SP farming. I did not get over 1 mil till around lvl 27, but maybe that is jsut because I am unlucky or poor.

Yep, unless you hang around bandit stronghold with a monkey picking up all the gold those sp farmers don't care about for a long time and do a good deal of marketing, I don't see you reaching 2 mil until late 20s, maybe early 30s. I think I reached 2 mil somewhere around lvl 27-29?

Fear not! You do not need an SOS bow. I have one now, but I didn't have one for my first character. Here is my no-bs answer: First off, you do not need a great bow, just a good one. You can buy a good bow for less than 200k if you shop in the stalls a while. Essentially anything with a + is nice. And anything with a crit of 4 or better is also good. I was still able to 1-shot kill the bandit archers and the bandit subordinates just fine. No need for an SOS here.

Secondly, hard-core SP farming just does not make any sense to me for your first character. Yeah, sure, SP farm around 5000, then just keep a 3-4 lvl gap while you lvl normally, focusing on just 2 masteries. You will have enough SP to experiement with a third mastery later. You will get to enjoy the game, since you really can't do any of the jobs til lvl 20. And if you decide to build a second character, 2 mill will be easy to come by, thanks to your first character (just put any money or items into storage, it will be accessible to any other characters you create on the same server). You can do some hard-core SP farming for your second character, and have a better understanding of what you are building for, and switch characters to have some fun, when grinding gets too boring.

i've never stalled anything. i've npced it or traded it. i've never had over 1 mil. the most i've had is 876k, but i also had lvl 16 sos spear +3 str crit 8, lvl 27 female protector headgear +1 sos int +1, lvl 24 +3 sos str +2 crit 9 sword, lvl 24 sos crit 10 str +1 glaive, and lvl 25 femal protector shell sos, alot of that was drops from earth ghost and chakjis.

oh i'm currrently lvl 27

Yes that is true. My character never SP farmed, but that is because when I started SilkRoad I haven't read any builds and guides. If I had I would have SP farmed because I am hardcore player.

And btw u don't need SOS if you reach lvl 21 or 24 the only thing you need is +3 or +4.

my friends sp farmer kicked butt, he lvled to 24, got a crit 9 or 10 +3 sos bow, delvled to 16 and then farmed over 75k sp, he could easily 1 hit kill bandits and stuff and he spfarmed really really really fast

only way you are getting a level 16 sos bow is if one drops or if someone lends you one..

Not really. For 3 days I got to lvl 18. Then I got 1.3 mil only from selling items. Found some shit .. operpriced them .. you know. If you are planning on SP Farming that will take you more than 3 days. Its more like 3 weeks even more. So if you only get the items drops you will surely get some money for an SOS bow.

It may even take more than 3 weeks. Many korean players farm thousands of SP over months time. But, that is because they are really hardcore, way much more than the average english speaking player.

Okay .. I am going to correct myself. Sorry but I didn't know what happens when you de-level. You don't loose your points but you lose your weapon. I tried it on my level 29 Spear and it was like I am not using any weapon (1 dmg with serk :banghead:

) So now my opinion is to go to lvl 16. Stay there as long as you can. Sell the drops in stalls (lvl 16 shit is bought like bread) and save money for a good lvl 16 SOS Bow.

P.S. I'm lvl 30 and my mastery is lvl 30. I have nukes and i'll stay with this mastery till lvl 39 so I can farm a little for my 50s 60s. It's my first char so I didn't farm at my lvl 16 .. damn :banghead:

you can usually buy a +3 bow for not as much which would be ok to get you going then just picking up gold at bandits den you could upgrade to SoS if you intended farming longer..

Is a +3 able to 1-hit archers? With ot without imbue?

If not, what is minimmal to 1-hit them

(PURE STR/FIRE/LIGHTNING/BLADE, will LVL to 19 then DLVL

um.. ok first of all i still can't 1 hit archers (without imbue mind you) at 29 with my 26+4 bow. you would need a killer SoM lvl 16 +3 at least bow to 1 hit them so i doubt what you said about that anyway don't go for a 1 hit cause you'll be either broke or sad cause it won't happen for a first character.

go for a 2 hit or even 3 with imbue that still like 2 archer in 1 imbue which is danm good

1-30...in 4 days played 4 mil made (excluding armor/pot money, may 18-21) I got lucky though. 2 sos and 6 weapon elixirs in the first 3 days.

as far as i know.... great bow drops (even sos) are frequently dropped by white tigers... this is where i got my sos bow

and a lot of lvl 18 bows and spears.

OMg GUYS GUYS, do i hear u say when we delevel like let say from lvl 24 to lvl 16 and u can still weild lvl 24 weapon ? is the weapon still doing damage? how aobut armor then if delevel will it be still useful? what about shield?

Im asking cuz i got hella alot SOS lvl 18++ but i dunn those things still can be equp when i delevel, all i can use now is lvl 16 critical 10 sword. If u guys answer was positive then i think im gonna use my +3 SOM lvl 24 bow and farm like hell @@

from my experience, when you delevel to 23 while using a lvl 24 weapon, your hits are as good as your punches...imagine if this were true (using a level 24 weapon while being deleveled to a lower level)...maybe the bandit camp would be jam packed!.....lol

for the fastest way to make money, get a monkey. failing that, build a pure int spear wielder, forget about farming alltogether, keep yr mastery same lvl as char & blaze through the quests lvling as fast as possible, in 3 weeks you'll be lvl 3x, find some white monsters u can 1-hit nuke & make money from afk stalls from yr blue/+drops. you'll have millions real quick, deposit in storage, go hunting for yr kickass lvl 16 sos
