How important is AR

Post by JessicaYan »

How important is attack rating in SRO(in terms of pvp effectiveness), my follow up question is, is it worth it to get white/blue hawk, and passive increase AR(if you are not bow)

AR is good. But to open a whole skill tree just for one hawk and one passive. Never. Thats like 40k SP at lvl 70. It's just not worth it.

Oh and almost forgot. 70 Mastery points. Never ever. Just forget it.

It would improve the chances of your weapon hitting for the max damage (the part in bold here: 255 ~ 340 on your weapon stats). As FireStorm said, i wouldnt open a new mastery tree for it.

2-3 % maybe, not more. Even if 5-10% Difference (I don't see where it will come from but) not worth the 70 masteries and 40k SP. You'll eventually hit the cap at 50s even 40s then you'll use tons of money on de-leveling the masteries and you will regret.

Its debatable. Unless you're into the Lv50s, its really hard to see the effect at work, but it is there. Another thing to think about is the increase in attack range skill . . . I'm not sure it works, but most signs point to, yes, it does. If it indeed does, there would be many enemies you could nuke to death that wouldn't even turn and attack you, specifically with the fire nuke.

Another thing is that a spear user has a higher max mag. attack than a sword user, and they don't have a shield. Thus, I think it would make more sense for a spear user to get the Pacheon skills vs. a sword user - especially since the sword user could get the shield passive instead.

I hold the opinion of most here - it's just not worth giving up 60-70 of your 300 masteries for, especially if you're a sword user.

Jas, some people think it is worth but, while others dont. If you only have 1 or 2 trees than your maximum masteries will be fine. If you already have a few trees it is not worth it.

As to the above, the skill that increases the attack range on a bow does not affect the attack range of a nuke.

About all skills in general:
Like any skill that adds to things like AR, block ratio, parry, physical/magical damage, when you only have level 1 in it, it will not make much difference. In fact, the difference is too small to be seen.

The higher you go, the more noticeable the difference. It's the same as Piercing force when you first get it, do you really notice a big difference? Yes, noted that it says 3% magical damage increase. However, it is the same as with all other skills that starts with level 1. The increase is not much. That normal 1 hit with an imbue will not see much difference when you first get the skill.

This game wasn't designed to give you miraculous increases just because you obtained a level 1 in any particular skill. It goes by gradual increments.

It is needed...
In order to deal better max damage nukes...
You should get better attack rating weapons.
I got the hawk and sometimes it allows me to 2 hit monsters more often. At shades at level 50 I tended to get them to 10 hp or so left...but I'm sure this won't happen once I've gotten 400 more sp...then I can get 48 to 50 light mastery and second book of light nuke w0000t

Also having a higher attack rating can make the other person lose his parry effect...it'll still be there but your attack rating allows you to deal more than other people wihout buffs...(Remembers his lvl 62 friend)
He had no buffs at all...NOT EVEN BLUE HAWK. He was a bowman.
When I mentioned this to some friends in thier 6x they were like =.= wdf?
So keep in mind...buffs at high levels really help.
