S/S or Spear?

I was wondering what's better S/S or Spear for full int. I can choose to go Fire/lightning nuke with Heuksal as main and Cold as defense. Or I can go Fire/Lightning nuke with S/S as main and Heuskal for Cheolsom and no cold.
Drop Cold for S/S?

I have had been wondering whether to use s/s or spear as my main weapon. But when i was at 52, i added Spear, with fire/lightning and cold as my force attk cold as my defense. Because i need snow shield as my main defense... But, after adding cold, i realized that snow shield takes 1 minute cool down time!!

And i am still confusing, whether to make fire 80/ lightning 80/ cold 60 or cold 80 / lightning 80 / fire 60

My main imbue now is Fire... but if i gonna make cold 80, then i need to switch my imbue to lightning... it's quite confusing!!

This is what I'm doing atm; Heuksal 80, Fire/lightning 80, and cold 60 which all adds up to 300 Skill Mastery Points. BTW; This is with cold as defense.

With S/S as defense; Bicheon 80, Lightning/Fire 80, and 60 Heuksal.

i like full on s/s

full int beast, hard to bring them down at cap and that shield is sooooo annoying

I been wondering the same. Does it matter now if i do spear or s/s if i put no points into a weapon? Right now i'm only leveling lightning. I been thinking of only leveling cold and lightning and nothing else.

Would s/s help me over heuskal if I do this? Or will it matter if i don't put any points into it?

I will be pure int Lightning and Cold. I may be weak, but if i can one shot kill mobs and not die alot i'll be happy. Please let me know your opinions on this. I want a strong solo char. Not too worried about pvp at the moment.

people get s/s for the shields defense and its blocking rate
that, combined with snow shield, would be a hard int to kill

but s/s means less damage, so i would go spear, seeing your cold light path

i do a 5:1 hybrid int with spear and the first book of snow shield
i don't die easily, and my nukes do close to the damage of a pure.

Depends what type of char you want.
Strong PvP? Go s/s
Strong PvE? Go Spear.

This game is mostly PvE, so I based my char around that. Went Ice, Light and Spear. Ice to freeze mobs and mana shield, also phy def. Light for speed since I'm wearing armors, and the best nuke.

Spear for maxed power and extra HP. Sure, not the strongest in PvP, but just think, in the game in general, what do you do more? Fight PvP or PvE? This should help you make up your mind on what weapon to choose.

Umm.. u need to lvl up 1 weapon mastery. Without it u will never 1hit a mob worth fighting. When u up the mastery on a weapon it makes that weapon u hold have certain amount of % atk power increase which u need. Eample if u have heauskal lvl 30 then when u wield a spear or glaive ur atk power will be increased by 30% or if u have bicheon mastery to lvl 33, when u hold a sword or blade ur atk power increases by 33%. and u need that to be a good grinding nuk3r/1-2 hit mobs.

^up^ is an ok option but.. THAT WILL CONFLICT U MASTERIES... The most basic and common mastery build is 3 masteries maxed to 80 and 1 masterie at 60... which equals 300...

If u have dual weps u will have to have 2 weapon masteries which will probably make u split that 60 mastery(which is usually the weapon mastery) to 30/30 which wil make your nukes a little weaker... or if one of those 80masteries are ice u can lower that too but then u have less defence... but like she/he said if u can decide just use both.

yea, most efficient dual would be

bicheon 80 / heuksal 80 / lightning 80 / cold 60

problem would be the loss in defense n snow shield n the fact that lvl60 cold nukes are useless, but you will do insane dmg...

1. Get both...
2. Go Bicheon 80 - Ice/Light 80 - Fire 60
3. Light as Imbue.. Ice def..(mana shield)
4. Use prot (looks bad but as u r using shield it give a nice def)

Advantages:
1. Use spear for the firsts Nukes(I will use it for the first 1 if it isn't close) don't lv heuksal coz spear will be used is just for nukes. Also u can use spear when u r grinding.(As u will start with a high first attack is a good advantage in pvp, specially for killing lower lvls )
2. Bicheon means def.. Ice give u more def.. and mana shield helps in pvp, so u will build an ass kicker build. Also the KD and Stab owns
3. well.. here is the main point, u can use fire as imbue at the beginning, so u will be lvling faster and then change to light.(with the new cap light nukes make more dmg)
4. Prot = not high phy def and not less mp consume but, it have balance and with a good shield u will be safe. Also iwhen u get armor u get pwned by others nukers.

Disadvantages:
1. Expensive.. getting a good S/S and Spear will make u cry, but as u won't lv heuksal u can left spear if u can't afford.
2. Not a high dmg coz of S7S and light.
3. Not the highest dealer imbue but it will be ok. (Remember get fire Imbue till lv 60)
4. Well as i said has a bad look (not for me ) and not give as much def as Armor nor give the same bonus like Garment.

Does it only increase Dmg when using the sword/shield or does it also increase my spell dmg by 33%?

If you level bicheon, the only time it will come in handy is when you use chains or in PvP, the KD/Stab. Nukes don't change.

I disagree. First of buying a spear for nuking at the start of a fight is just stupid... Second the diference in dmg between light n fire imbue is barely noticeable n last but not least lvl60 fire for just 39 mag defense, status immunity n low lvls nukes that will be good for nothing is just a waste of masteries. If u want to dual weap get both bich n heuk @ 80, lit 80 n cold 60, nuke , kd, triple stab, switch do spear, soul spear book 4, soul spear book 3, mars, switch back to sword n shield, repeat. Its complicated at first but practice for a few hours n then ppl will barely see your spear when you mars them. Learn how to time your attacks n when to switch n make good use of mana shield, iron wall n fan storm and you will pwn.

if u did't decided to play until max lvl....go whatever u likes.....if u want play till max level and as a full time support player dun go duel weapon...
cos the level gap will increase soon and no point u need to delevel it at soon.....i thinks that s/s still be good in future.....with the level gap that say may reach 150lvl,s/s may get high blocking rate with passive skill...


at last...s/s pure int good in dmg good in def good in tank at last.......

but maybe at last will come out some skill that will not affected by block(................................)so go what ever u like.........enjoy in play
