Sad story u can help with
I tried to log in this morning on isro in my account and i was 100% that i put in the right info but its says retry 3/3 times
I finally knew i was hacked and this is my second account so far my lvl 37
2:1 hybrid int spear hacked
I think a key tracker is tracking my IP and is taking every single one of my accounts that i use a common paaswrd for
I dont wanna sound like a noob because i like sro adn srf and wanna keep
playing so if any of u can help me out there perhaps if u have a throw-away average lvl account that u'll never use again pehaps u can pm me with the info.
thx i appreciate what u did in adavanced

Hidden emails can be brute forced. The best possible security in a system like this is to both use a random password and register a junk email which you only use once whose address is a password itself (but not the same as your account password of course).Tigerlein wrote:Dont use like abc123 id and pw 321bca
Example use pass like hksow0492k and try keep ur email hidden just like ur pw.
Something like hksow0492k@gmail.com
In addition, if you are registering a new account you could make your secret answer a random password and your username a random password as well. If you wanted to be even more secure you could change your "password" email account and account password every week. And no matter what, never use the same password twice.
However, if you get keylogged then the best password won't save you. The only way to beat a keylogger is to fool whoever's writing down what it tells them. You could do that by using characters that are identical in sight such as ALT+255 which would be confused for a space but since SRO's passwords are severely limited you are pretty much screwed once you get keylogged.

With all the other issues addressed, I'll go on about one people tip-toe around...porn...
Now its known that often you can find these downloadable "grab-bags" with various assortments of random things...often enough some people set up rigged sites using the same content within these downloads...think of them has little fan-site kits...basically be wary of these types of site...
The most secure type of networks would be these do-it-yourself sites that many women/men (often under pressure from their BFs or spouses) set up, usually they are linked into webrings with the same host/s...
Thumbnail sites...well more "respectable" thumbnail sites...generally get their links for the samples from these more secure networks...obviously I can't really name names...
But the more cautious you are about your browsing habits the less you have to worry about malicious software, etc, etc...

An avid collector of good animated avatars and signatures because I'm just that cool.
