Pc problem ??

Hi, i have a strange error... When i log into silkroad after about 4-5 minutes i get lag and my computer reboots..
Does someone know what i should do about it?
It worked good before, but now i can't play more then 5 minutes..

Could be overheating. What kind of cooling do you have on the processor? I suggest you start by opening the case and checking all the cables.

Make sure all the fans are running. If its still doing it you should either get a new Heat sink for your CPU or go and buy some thermal grease to put between the heat sink and the CPU.

im 100% sure that its now over heated. i got 2 extra fans. and the temperature isn't high. so i don't know whats the problem is

.. everything worked fine before.. but when i came back from the holliday it won't work..

i reinstalled windows for about a week ago maybe 2 ... so i think its clean ..

I mean went into the case and cleaned out all the dust and whatever else might have gotten in there.

Also what kind of AV program are you running?

Its not his computer. Its a file his silkroad messed with or something like that. I Dont remember where but somewhere there is a thing that will restart your computer. thats all i know

ok. but i got the same problem when i play call of duty :S .. but not when i play cs .. but i will try to reinstall it, thx for help guys.. hope it works

Id recommend you download AVG or Avast and scan for viruses.

Also get a spyware removal program like S&D.

Hijackthis is good too.

i allready got AVG AV and AVG Anti spyware ;(...
and it didn't work to reinstall

so i need more info about the file that makes it restart .. quz i have no idea

Well if its happening in CoD its probably not silkroad its most likely an over heating problem.

When you go into silk road I would suggest lowering your settings so it doesnt put so much strain on your system.

If you really wanna crank things up you should get yourself a new heat sink for your CPU.

Seems SRO causes over heating problems for alot of people

Do you play with your graphics maxed out?

yes i do, but i doesn't happen when i play counter strike, battlefield or other games.

and i have tested to put setting on lowest..but its still the same.
its just freeze for 2-3 seconds and then it restarts..

and i have checked the teperature and its not even close to get high.
so i don't think thats the problem.
