I had the same problem, the graphic card was the reason for it. I tried reinstalling sro, windows, drivers for graphic card but nothing worked. So I got a new graphic card out of the warranty. The cooling system was broken on it.

if this happens again you should turn off your pc for a while so you dont permently damage your video card, and yes you do have a video card or you could not plug your monitor into your pc its probably an on board video card

100% your graphics card I've had mine replaced 2 x now and thats exactly what it does so yep its your graphics card. i see the tornadoes every where when it messes up. when it gets worse your char will have big lines coming out of there head and bod it messed up looking .

I had similar graphix glitches...it was because my system, mostly VGA was overheating. Good luck cooling your PC
