The old SRF was with WAY less flaming, if someone killed an unique mob he got showered with congratulations. People were just more friendly and interested in what others found or did, without being negative.
However, I still like SRF, people shouldn't whine about how it used to be. If they're not satisfied, they should either try to improve it or leave.
If you don't like the flaming threads, be like me. Don't read them.
Lol Cruor's going to have so many requests he's going to have to make a universal timeline with every single person who's every registered Anyways, I don't really notice that much of a difference from srf back then and now.
I'm gonna guess I'm mid generation. But I definitely arrived towards what they call the 'good' generation.
There were never people at eachothers threads. The community was smaller, people knew eachother alot better, with the size the community has become now, its almost impossible to have that kinda of relationship.
I don't think the new people are worse, there just seems to be more tension between everyone for some reason, say one thing wrong and you'll have 20 people at your throat.
the old forums were better som of the new peeps are kool but we now attract too much shit theres always a flame going on now, back when i registered it was small the members who joined were there to help make the community better

I really do agree with you there RuYi. I also think part of it was the amount of members. Back in summer/fall of '06 there were obviously less members. As member numbers rise, the close-knit atmosphere starts fading away.
Hopefully we can get some real old-school people here.
