the morals was just an example.

the main point of my post was to point out, that you wont be as good as some1 who didnt pwrlvl, and that certain things cant be used as excuses because thier flawed

because if it was your first time playing the game, and you got pwrlvled to like 5x,6x, and 7x good for you, but um do you even know how to use your build?

people call me noob ig for fighting like a rogue (relying heavily on stealth/hit and run) these people tend to be the lvl 40+ int pwrlvlers who have been playing the game for 2 days (true noobs not the veterens with high lvl chinese).

they tell me not to stealth cause its not fair -_-
i say have a friend use descry/combustion.
they go w-t-f is that.

point is, your losing out if you pwrlvl.

PS. plz dont skim thru my post and pick and choose minor parts to argue on, rather argue on the bulk.

I read your whole post. I only focused on the morals part because it wasn't really talked about yet. That was a reason why I didn't bother to quote you. Everything else you said, I've already talked about in my earlier post or I felt you were just generalizing everyone thats been powerleveled.

Me and many others I know have played the Europe portion of the game before it was implemented into the international version. We've already experienced the European areas and pretty much know what build to play and the foundation of playing it. Most of the people who started the powerleveling craze are probably the same. That doesn't give us a reason to powerlevel or be powerleveled, but you can't say we missed out or we don't know our build because of powerleveling.

You shouldn't be concerned that your opponent doesn't know how to play his/her build. Thats his/her problem, not yours. More importantly, this is an MMORPG. Its not hard to figure out how to use your build efficiently. It doesn't take the average person long after some trial and error to figure out what works and what doesn't. The people who don't learn are most likely people who don't want to submit to the build or realize its just not for them. When you're their level or close to their level, its an advantage for you.

I stated earlier that the positives of being powerleveled outweigh the negatives. Silkroad heavily revolves around level in gear. Who cares that you can't play your build well when the person you're fighting is 20+ levels lower than you? Some of you guys make it seem as if they can sit on a horse and level all the way to 80 without doing anything. There will be a time when they can't be powerleveled anymore and will have to learn to play their build efficiently, but for now, there isn't much you can do about it. Just continue to beating those around your level that are not very good.

ok for now you win.. (you just had to bring in the other versions, thats what i do on the official forums.... guess ive been stumped by my trump card)
but i still hold my stance that pwrlvling even if you use your char to do it
is still = to botting

mainly because running around atking blue mobs doesnt require much effort, so thier still not working for it.

i already knew how to use my build up to lvl 30. (rogue/cleric)
once i hit 40 its gonna be a diffrent world,

Chinese Owns European with major interest.

Because when the topics start flooding in about how some one made it to level 62 in 2/3 weeks and starts to feel proud and boasts about it.

Then it will be such a nice and sweet feeling to have, when we finally say:

''But Mr Europe, please don't forget that we The Chinese players helped and supported you players into reaching that goal,if it were not for us then you would still be stuck grinding at Kiklopes''

And besides The Chinese players have made enormous effort to get where they are now, power leveling and putting you're character on trace equals botting in a slightly different way,but as long as you cannot reach or play the game on you're own..you have absolutely no reason to feel proud of you're selves.

But if you did grind or quested you're way to the levels you wanted then i salute you and you're dedication. whether it be in a European party or all on you're own.

But please keep it mind that players that reached enormous levels by a mere 3/4 weeks just be following a Chinese level 70,80 around are to be considered as weak and spineless noobs. because they claim the fame, but they did not endure the pain.

You did not work for it,you do not deserve it.

This topic was not made to pick fights with people, nor was it created to attack or down talk on any European players who tries his best to get where they want to go.

And while botting might seem a totally different story, and it is..I refuse to not see power leveling in a similar contrast.

I am aware that this might be a loaded topic for some people, but do not try to feel offended by it because it was made with the bestest of intentions.

The writing in bold is statement by people, the one below is my answer.

I'm got powerlevel to 60 in 2 weeks. I'm so proud of my self and this accomplishment.
- I had a char on Greece lv 70 that I quit playing 5 months ago. I spent 8 months on that char, to get it to 70. Who ever says they want to spend that much time once again is either an idiot or lying. Been there done that. If there is another legit easier way to get my level up, I will do it. However you will never see me posting a thread saying "omg look, im an attention whore and I want u to comment on my lv 60!" I didn't even tell anyone in my guild when ever I level up. They always noticed it first and say congrats and so on. That doesn't mean I'm not proud, I just keep it for myself.

A powerleveler will get powned by lower level chinese in pvp, or people who didn't powerlevel
- There may be people who never sp farm and always keep a 0 level gap, so they would lack SP for their skills. I however, have all my skills max mout for my level, since I have both gold ticket and gold skill ticket. and keep a gap. I do occationally PVP, do job, or just kill stuff myself just to test out skills, so I know what they do. I'm sure being powerleveled won't make me an idiot...If anything not powerlevel will wear out my 1, 2, 3, 4 keys on the keyboard faster.

I got very bored watching my powerleveler powerlevel me for hours.
- Uhm you don't have to sit there and watch it u know. U could chat, watch TV, watch movies. Visit SRF, sleep, check your mail, check youtube, watch porn, chat on MSN, eat, shower, go out, go to work. All while u get exp...

If you don't like me, you must be jealous of me getting level this fast.
I rather prefer to think, that only those who can't powerlevel have some issue, those who could, probably already getting powerlevel. Beside everyone is doing it. not doing it would just keep yourself falling behind.

being powerlevel take the point of playing game away
So you're saying getting to level 80 is the game itself, when you reached level 80 u should quit?
A lot of people consider the time after they reached the cap to be truly the fun time. That's exactly what I planning, to get high level first, then do job and pvp, guild war and stuff. you can't do any of that efficently at low level.

Powerleveling is acceptable, why?

Chinese characters had more then two years to level, farm and do what they wanted.

Europe characters don't get 2 years now to get to level 80, get all skills and many sealed weapons to fight and be able to defeat a Chinese character.

For high levels it's a good money earn, since all of them except the people you know and some rare good people won't request money for it.

This will bring Europe characters on the same stage as Chinese characters currently are, making the game more interesting as the new European characters can then compete with the Chinese characters in pvp.

Like someone already said.....

I think powerlvling is another way of cheating the system but so was 1* popping and that was still nessecary....while power lvling isn't nessecary if you can do it go for it because no one wants to spend 7 months lvling there character thats just a waste of time especially when the rewards for being capped aren't that great

Still though if you got power lvled and are now a lvl 64+ Euro keep it to yourself....no need to rub it in the faces of everyone else out there who is pulling the 3-4 hour a day grind just to keep up with ppl like you.....Si if your being powerlvled don't turn into an attention whore like that cleric in GD cause its just a disheartening thing to watch and extremely annoying to see ppl so proud of something they didn't accomplish on there own...

Well that's their problem, don't you think? Being powerleveled by someone, not knowing how to use your build. It's a matter of choice. Is it so hard to ignore someone saying rogues shouldn't stealth because that's unfair? Screw them, hit them on PvP, let them call you noob. The one that is winning is you. I don't see what's the problem with that.

If you don't want to powerlevel/be powerleveled, it's all up to you. But it's not like you can tell them "Don't powerlevel because I feel it's wrong", because it's their will that really matters.

I still think powerleveling is much more positive than botting, unless the powerleveling is done trough the use of a bot.

My take on it is this... powerleveling saves a massive amount of time and if you can waste less time on leveling why not do it? Now party play is very fun with the right people, but simply put, most idiots just dont know how to work as a team in a party and they will cause the party to be killed by failing their duties. Sure powerleveling misses out on the fun of the game at first, but i dont know about you - i'd be having way more fun in a euro party going to kill isy than being stuck at Samarkand area grinding in a party to go from lv 30 - lv 40 for a month.

Also let me bring up a very important issuse - sp farming is nearly impossible for a europe character by grinding in an 8 man party. Most people say euro doesnt require sp farming, but it really does especially if you use 2 masteries like I do. Now if you want to sp farm on a 9 gap as a euro char, think how long it would take in an 8 man party. Also consider the fact that a 9 gap means the highest piece of armor you can wear is 9 levels lower than your character level. I dont know how a str char would do but a pure int would die all the time with inferior armor. Powerleveling allows sp farming to be done with ease, and in very short time with a skill ticket and gold ticket.

However you see it, whether you grinding your lil chinese build and then decided to cheat the system and PL your euro build, cheating is... cheating.

That's basic of it, you can't go wrong with that logic, it's quite simple. You follow someone doing nothing at all i.e meaning you do NOT play this game, you simply follow a person around albeit this person could be you I don't care, you're a cheater, there's no way around it.

You support PL? You're a cheater, ain't that sweet?

As far as the bullshit statement that it takes a month to move from level 30 to 40 in a party, total bullshit as I have made it to 40 IN pt's IN less than 1 week from 30 to 40.

Look at my scenario.

I been playing silkroad for over 14 months. I switched characters around for a few weeks until I found some good guides (on this forum) and stuck with a pure str glavie. 13 months of me playing "ALOT" I hit level 68. Never botted, I bought a gold ticket most of the time.

I always found it strange on how most that claims they are legits hit 60s in 2 or 3 months, I can even play from work, and I did. Anyhow back to the story. I start a new character and the party system is now letting me used my hard earned character to benefit and take away some of that grind, that i would again have to do.

I don't see anything wrong with it. I'm still hand grinding, I still have to sit at my computer, its still my time. And even if guildies or friends wanted to help, who the hell cares?. Finally for the first time silkroad is building a strong community. Yeah you still have people begging for PLs and what not, but also you see people being kind and offering services.

Even if you pay in game gold to people offering their service thats part of a community. I'm not talking about at websites or offline PL services but your typical guy in town offering to take you out for 1m an hour.

For the first time people chat, share, and help one another out and I enjoy it.

It is not exploiting, it is making use of it. Otherwise, traders are cheaters because they make millions "exploiting" the trading system.

According to your superior "logic", a trader that traces another trader in a caravan all the way, is also a cheater since he isn't doing anything. Stalling is cheating too, since you're not doing anything either. You must be the same people that called auto-pot cheating, since it pots you automatically, unlike in WOW and in the start of SRO, when u have to click on the pot to use it.
