Post by Amps »

Actually if that question is going to cause trouble let me refine it, and make another one:

My new character (the one i hope to keep with) is currently level 17. Ive not been SP Farming properly and am always temped to just upgrade my masteries. Should i continue doing this half-sp farming method or just widen the gap and start full-on sp farming? I have only realised how much sp a blader needs now as my last full str glaiver didnt need as much.

<Sorry For Double Posting >

I just used that SP calculator to find out how much would be needed and heres the shocking results :

Code: Select all

Required EXP:   711,291,673
Required SP EXP:   74,424,000
Required SP:   186,060
Mastery Level:   192/300
EXP / SP EXP:   9.61

Thats a hell of alot of SP

Yeah.. that is a lot. Your lucky that you decided to farm SP. I farmed a little bit and every time I decided I needed to farm again I just upped the masteries to get a new skill.. DOH! Oh well, looks like I am going to be screwed for a while.

That's why you only keep 3 trees, and not get every skill.

the endless debate, can only be solved when he hit the cap, and have it out 1v1! that is assuming u've farmed enough, maybe we have the indvidual classes representing the builds use npc white items to even the playing field, but i'm going w/ice str blade, i have reasoning, only time will tell

Yep i have 3 trees, im following bits of both fly and cuchulains advice. My two magics are fire and thunder and i checked the exact skills i needed and it came to that required amount. So, should i just halt the levelling and go all out sp farming?

Or Stick with my method right now of farming with a 2 level gap whilst levelling. As antic said im always tempted to jsut use the sp to get some skills...

Unfortunately, NPC eq would give a huge advantage to the ice blader. A lot of high lvls use HUGE ice reduce eq in PvP, to the point where freeze/frostbite are almost instantly removed, even without pills. Ultimately, with comparable and excellent eq of their level, I think that ice simply won't do enough damage to the fireblader, who will do enough damage cause the icer to run out of pots first.

imo thay are about even
fire has a lil more imbue damage
and cold has that frostbite freeze stuff

the pure phy damage of both types should be the same couse even a cold blader has fire mastery for the passive and buffs anyway's . and fire bladers are smart to take cold mastery for the passive and ice guard series
so a cold blader is actualy a fire blader with a diferant imbue

probbly the best thing to do is go 3mastery bisheon/fire/cold
and take both imbue's
just sp farm a lil longer to get the second imbue maxed also and your set

now plz let the topic DIE ..

Here is my experience in PvP with scarf. I am a full str fire bow (currently lvl 44). I love taking on the bladers (a rarely ever win) because I learn a lot of valuable lessons in regards to PvP.

Autopot for HP is OFF
Autopot for MP and Status is ON

Now I have taken on both fire blader and ice blader. Both will take me out (unless I get that very lucky first hit and its a crit). But the fire blader will make very short work of me. The ice blader will be a long fight, and he will get hit a lot more than the fire blader. Why? Everyone knows that frostbite will cancel any windups their opponent may have to launch a buff. The archer has 3 buffs that can be hot-keyed that have no windup, and therefore cannot be cancelled by ice. Double-arrow, triple arrow and at lvl 53, the 4-arrow shot. I have killed every icer I have fought with these buffs (the first 2, as I am not up to lvl 53, yet), except for the blader icers who were smart enough to knock me down, as that is the only way to stop those buffs. Knockdown is not an ice skill, and the fire bladers will do more damage when they do it than the ice bladers.

These arrow buffs of mine can currently do up to 10000 points of damage or more IF every hit connects and IF every hit crits. I have had it happen before. The quicker you take me out, the less likely you will have this happen to you, and ice will not stop me. The prolonged fight with your weaker physical attacks and your ice will give me a better chance to take you out.

That has just been my experience.

there is just too much to argue about in pvp
when equip is maxed out fire bladers are immune to cold so at maxed out capacity fire bladers will beat cold

a lvl 5x archer dealing 10k crit to a same lvl blader is impossible the blader must of been at least 6lvls below u

Autopot for HP is OFF
Autopot for MP and Status is ON

this by itself is unfair, imo its either no pots or all pots
i find it pretty unfair saying yes to mp and pill but no hp
its like a pure str saying yes mp but no hp cause they will run out of mp and have high life, also like a pure int saying yes hp but no mp cause they got low hp and high mp, cannot use one and not the other or it would be unfair to certain builds

It doesn't matter if its instantly removed; Low level acc. is useless unless you are 100% sure you are unfreezable.

Yeah, and if I fought someone using ice who I realized equipped low level accessories to become immune to ice, I would switch to fire and go for max damage immediately.
I'm in your posts, stealing your quotes.

Unfair? Nothing is unfair if it has been agreed upon before the fight. I would prefer to do all pots, as that is simply the closest to real PvP fights as it gets. However, when using the scarf, most people do so for fun, and want to preserve their potions for grinding. Perfectly understandable. Some of us want to simulate real job fights and learn from the whole PvP experience. What I did was an agreed upon compromise. And I do not pick on nukers. They are not built for PvP, and I seldom see them scarfing.
