dont drink and drive (graphic images)

Post by Disconn3cted »

im not sure if posting these videos are legal by forum rules or not but considering the subject matter i thought it would be.
delete it if you feel necassary

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wgWPu5DgEC0

her name is jaqueline suburido in 1999 she was hit by a drunk driver after going home from a birthday party. She originally lived in venesula(i think that is spelled wrong) but moved to the USA to learn english although difficult to look at, she is an inspiration to millions of people worldwide. She has forgiven the person who did this to her and stayed in the US to continue learing english and has a very positive outlook on life she says no matter what happens you have to keep going and coming from someone like her that means a lot

she is currently 28 and lives in Louesville Kentucky to be near her doctors who are working to rebuild her eyelid (which i believe has been rebuild), nose, lips , and ears. In 2006 her mother was diagnosed with cancer

another graphic video about drunk driving (not jaquii) {WARNING CONTAINS EXTREMELY GRAPHIC IMAGES}

omg >_>

Many people here go to café's by car because no busses drive after like 12 or 1 am. Thus a bigger chance of drinking something then driving >_>

Better solution to that and less retarded people FTW :P

These links should be in everybody's signature on every forum on the internet.

They should be posted in the streets. EVERY street.

And all drink drivers should never be allowed to drive, EVER again.

So true he said it twice ^^^

And don't drink and drive. Get a cab. Have a designated driver. Ride a bicycle. Take a bus. Walk. Don't drink. Stay at home. Do anything, just don't drink and drive.

If you are in the Puget Sound area: http://www.annasridehome.com/

A friend of mine had his wife and kids killed by a drunk driver. If I was responsible for that, maybe I could blow it off when I was young, but as I got older, and had a wife and kids of my own and knowing I took that away from someone...the lives I destroyed...every time I looked at my own child and knowing that I killed someone else's...

It's not worth it. Don't do it.

Saying the right thing is easier than doing the right thing.

Which is why people still drink and drive.

You can say all you want "Oh you should always have a designated driver blah blah blah" but it's still going to happen.

I'm confused. I think what you are saying is: "people who drink and drive shouldn't tell other people to not drink and drive." Well, sure, people shouldn't be hypocrites when it comes to drunk driving. Good call.

Or are you saying that nobody should ever tell anyone not to drink and drive? We should just be resigned to the fact that certain people are going to drink and drive and everyone else should just shut up and get on with their lives. Any derisive comment on it is useless and should therefor be suppressed?

Stories like these had a big impact on me growing up. I can't measure the extent to which they kept me from drunk driving but I do know that I've drunk my fair share and never gotten behind the wheel while intoxicated. If this thread helps reinforce a similar decision for someone, thats a good thing, no?

Living in a college town, we have a lot of drunk driving accidents and deaths, and the people that die aren't always the people who were drinking.

You have no right to gamble with someone else's safety or life so you have no right to drink and drive. It's illegal for a reason, and people need to acknowledge and abide by that law. This will be my sophmore year of college and I had two new friends die in a wreck because someone who "only had a few"/"knew what he was doing"/"had complete control and wasn't affected" swerved into their lane to avoid hitting an invisible deer when it was still daylight outside.

If you drink: Stay at home, or drink somewhere where you intend on not leaving from for at least 5 hours after your last drink.

Yes it's a good thing. I meant exactly what I said, there's no underlying message you have to go on a life changing journey to find. What I meant was people can say all they want to warn people but these things are still going to happen.

Edit: My bad somehow I worded that first line backwards.

Some people are really stupid to drink that much. Its terrifying to see what can happen from one stupid person. I don't get why people are still too stubborn to realize this. Maybe if we tell them they might spill their beer, they might stop...

A point I disagree strongly with MADD and other drunk driving organizations about is the stigmatization of drinking alcohol. As someone said in the thread on youtube, I love drinking and driving...just not at the same time. I work with the organization I linked to above and our policy always has been and always will be: go out and have a great time, just don't drive a car. And we put our money where our mouth is by providing rides for people.

I think that portraying the drinking of alcohol as evil does more damage than good. It demonizes 99% of the population when the only people who should be demonized are drunk drivers. Binge drinking and alcoholism aside, the consumption of alcohol is healthy. Don't throw out the baby with the bathwater. And don't confuse the message of "don't drink and drive" with "don't drink."

I don't drink obviously because of my age. Even if I do become legal, I'd probably only drink when im out with my friends (social drinker( but not that much. A bottle is okay but any more than that is over the top for me.

Oh, and don't drink and drive. You'll spill your beer. Beer is good.Don't waste beer. >:S Lol's joke.

Except that you'll never see a headline: "Drunk Man on Bicycle Crashes into Minivan, Killing Family of Four"
