I notice a lot of people either aren't on vent or just aren't talking, so I was wondering if Chat is ever going to be initialized?

Yes I realize it costs money so this isn't really a suggestion thread, it's more of a reconnaissance thread. ^^

doubt it, we did have it but it wasnt al that good

Its Flashchat.

And what it did, was use MySQL entires to store and read messages.

Which caused many MySQL queries.

Which helped bog down the site.

Once the lag got really bad, you could tell there was an issue.

It was fun

I'd do it again

But with a real server side program, not a makeshift MySQL based application.
