Bard sub cleric

Post by B_FH »

For the record: I searched and couldn't find a definitive topic on this, this is also a repost from over in the guides forum because it didn't belong there.

help with this build.

I wanna go bard sub cleric b/c all my friends decided to go pure wizard or tank and we need SOMEONE to try and buff.

I wanna do cleric just for res and the occasional group heal but mostly be bard.

Right now I'm a lvl 23 with bard mastery at 23 and cleric at lvl 20 (I have my 60% ticket going) I've been going pure int, but have about 500 hp and lots of mobs are 1 hitting me. Should I now start going 2:1 int/str? Also, the cleric skills allow me to wear light armor, but will it interfere with my bard abilities?

All I have so far is moving march, mana cycle, group heal and its prerequisites. Any idea as to what I should do with this character?

If you dont plan on working with another bard alot, dont take the dancing skills, take tambours for xtra def for your party, moving march, horror chord so you can solo when needed, all the passive buffs on top, mana wind and cycle are essential. Take noise(noise will save your ass ALOT). Temptation is kind of a preference thing, I use it alot during trade runs to turn the thieves on eachother. Booming chord will get you into trouble alot cause you end up hitting mobs you didnt want to, etc so if you take it be careful, I wouldnt say its ultimately necessary.

I only have bard, so i cant say much for cleric, but I would max out the bless, single and party heals, and the res. Leave the combat options alone and use bard for dmg if you need it.

Light armor will not interfere with any of your bard abilities.

Please note that while maintaining movement march you cannot cast heal spells as they require a cleric rod to be equipped.

The only really useful bard skill for a cleric use movement march, as you pretty much always need your cleric wand out.
