Is A Pure Str blader Worth it?

currently i have a lv 52 Pure Str bow and was thinking about switching to blader.. but im not sure if its worth it..

i wanted to hear from you bladers that are high lvl , how you do in pvp? are you able to kill things?

bladers cant kill, they just get hit

At level 54, I can tank and kill a 62 nuker. People really underestimate bladers.

If you farm at lower levels and can get a good shield every degree, then it's most definitely worth it.

I can also live through D2A sometimes

Bladers excel at wearing people down...it is costly in both time, equipment repairs, and pots/pills to fight a blader...

A well-equipped Blader is able to kill... people just assume they're built for tanking (which they are, but high crit pimped blades can dish out pain too).

why u switching from bow imo its the best biuld now like i was pvping one of my giuld mates him lvl 80 me lvl 74 and he has a sun garment head and it was an evan match cuse i kept knocking him back i was doing like 5k crits wich surprised me cuse of his sun

Obviously some of you don't know what you are talking about.

The first build to kill me right when the euro update came out was a fully farmed 80 blader (which was a pot fight for me before the patch(I'm pure int btw s/s)).

Bladers can now deal enough damage to kill. I have seen a pure str blader and a pure str glavie go at it after the expansion. And guess what... the blader won. Thunder Chain for the effin win. Lolz

Sure it can still be a pot fight but bladers can kill again.

imo any biuld can be the best as long as u got the right gear switching is a waste of time if ur doing the quest or money if ur buying from item mall

Haha I'm a blader and thinking about going bow (but I really don't want to have to wait to level 80 be able to have skills that make you decent in PvP).

I enjoy blader though. I love never dieing.

Killing mobs is slow indeed, which is the worst part. With a good blade and shield, you will probably win or tie most PvPs.

after the new skills blader got a lot stronger but is it worth it no grinding with a blader is to much work for what its worth

lol u cant. unless u have way better gears, or the nuker is garbage built. trust me, i have lvl 65 blader, even with multiple kd spam spear nukers might still kill me, nuke->sss->mars, if i dont kd, or block im dead.

bladers are the most durable characters and can have, most potention (my opinion)in existance, but this comes slower leveling, and money. a lot of people, such as ones that are saying bladers are bad, are the type that get plvled to 80 in a matter of days, or buy a char and then simply throw it away days later. If you are the type who will work hard for a character you really are interested, than you can be a good long lasting blader. for me, my blader is still stuck at a certain lvl, right now, i just don't have the money or items to continue him, that's why im trying other characters to support him, but already i can see how he pwns almost everyone in a 1d range. with a blade like mine, i hit almost as much as a full int but can tank 4 pt mobs.

Also with the update with the skill Mana Shield under ice, it makes bladers attacks on you even more weak...Also bladers are the slowest lvlers, bow on the other hand is the fastest pure str lvler.

SO...now all create a bow char and lvl as fast as you can...and be same like thousands of others :twisted:

Thats why i like bladers...everybody says that they are weak, they can't kill anything, they lvl slow, they looks sexy...it's good to be different (unique if you want)

lol stop hating on the bladers you know you like the bleed/impotent/division effect good luck in job wars even with mana shield you will drop like a fly once division is on you

Lol she can. Thanks to me she has decent gear after her recent hardships. A well equipped blader can kill ten levels higher than themselves, and at level 53, Ito can kill me easily with her imbue and 51 chains. Well built, farmed bladers are amazing, and people are stupid to look down on them.

Blader is worth it if you can afford to supply yourself with good gear.

Bladers are NOT WORTH it, you cant tank anymore, when you get 2-shotted by a sun+7 spear who's on 9-gap (while you're wearing full sun garms+sun shield +7 [+sun blade] at lvl80). Not worth the trouble imho.

IMO i think bladers are worth the time, however they do take a really long time to level and to farm and I've seen plenty of people switch from blader to bow or glavie at higher levels. From my experience most often in pvp (note i am not farmed yet) anyone with equal gear as you will not be able to kill you and in some cases 2 people with equal gear as you will not be able to kill you, but it will usually take a couple of minutes at least to kill someone or you won't be able to kill them at all. However with the new skills the 6 chain really helps with damaging people due to the warlock status effects on it (bleed, impotent, division) that can make your kd/stabs really hurt.

im struggling to choose right now.. when i see a blader do thier combos i get jealous..and the bow skills dont look to interesting.. I am willing to put in the time to get the sp and gear so thats not a big problem.. but my bow mastery right now is at 46 .. so it would cost alot of $ or curst hearts to delevel that..

i was thinking about making a new char and just leaving him at 16 so i could sp farm .. then making him a blader

I had a friend, she was all into bladers, switched from glaive to blade at 4x, i tried to tell her to switch to bow back then, now shes 67 and is switching to bow. GG. Don't do it, you'll regret it.

P.S. I'm 75, on a 9-gap and i really really want to switch to bow... guess why lol.

Bladers are cool and pretty much indestructible, but the damage they make is a joke. At higher levels it takes forever to level, especially without GT. Even with a +3 crit. 11 blade and 105 % phys. bal. it takes about 10-20 secs to kill a mob your level. In that time my wizard can kill every mob on his radar with a lousy npc weapon. So only go for a blader if you have a lot of patience and love to grind.
