Ivy 1 Quest reward:hammer?

Ok so i finished ivy 1 quest.the reward : military camp rapair hammer : description :
Quest item
1.Can be used by party leaders at corresponding areas.
2.Can be used use to meet ivy even if not a party leader.
I'm not retarded ,i understand what it says but..what's the catch ? I don't understand..i pressed one when i was in constantinople and it worked.what happened when i used it ?( still have 4 of them )

What it does is, when your armour is damaged and your out fighting monsters, you can use then to repair your weapon/equipment, very useful while grinding

yup..that's what it does..can't figure(except the bug version) why it writes those stuff in the description.yesterday i had everything repaired and i didn't saw when it repaird stuff since they were repaired already.today..i saw thx

Hammers are (would have been...) very useful. I have a screenshot somewhere with my inventory in it. My gloves had durability 8, my weapon had 2 or 3 while all the other protectors had 0...
My guildies told me to stop but I felt like grinding.
