item share, pls ppl ffs make a share party a share party

Post by CareBear »

1 in 4 parties I've been in have this set, just wondering if everyone else has the same problems. IMHO they should just get rid of the option: Dist = item dist, share = item share

Dist parties are for solo grinding, 90% of the time you are distant from each other so it doesn't even matter what the setting is.
Share = cooperative parties, so rewards should be shared. How is a cleric to get any gold with 4 nukers in his party? Likewise if you have a quest active you will never get a drop unless you are one of the higher lvl damage dealers

cause they are using TBOT, and tbot has a problem with inviting people to item share.

On some Euro quests, you must be in an item share party to get the quest and to fulfill the quest.

I think the default option is item distribution, experience autoshare. I guess people just don't bother changing it when they start the party.

fucksake, you're right on the money! I find this to be the number 1 issue in euros; so many noobs don't understand why we need auto share items; & i'm not even a cleric; everytime I join a party I have to give them the same lecture, some even kick me off the party for nagging! :x

You know what usually happens; i set a party that's auto item share; most people doesn't even notice at first, but once they try picking up an item drop and it went to someone else, some noobs even demand the other player to give it back!!! In general, more idiots in euro...

i like item auto-share cuz; if somebody in the party has a grabber u can concentrate on killing stuff better. also u might get a nice drop without even noticing it :D

i prefer item auto-share coz i dont have time to pick things up as a tanker, i have to preotect the members of the party, and if i get something some1 need, i give to them, and the other people do the same for me. and also, i really dont care much about getting equipment, i get tons of gold with auto-share, so basically it's just greed if u care about auto-share.

Who accused him? U got it all wrong.

Maybe my question has a deep implication. But i didnt directly accuse him that "u are a bot". And i dont care how u understand it. But a question is a question, which comes from curiousness, and not an accusation, which come from an aggressive behavior.

U dont need to be a bot or use bot to understand how bot works. The source of that information could come from his friends, from forums, from rumours, etc...

I have my right to ask a question, and curiousness is allowed in this forum

1) Please PM me next time, like someone else already has with a question about this thread.
2) You obviously misunderstood me too. I simply saw this being taken the direction of bot accusations, I didn't say they had occurred already. If they had, I would have edited them out.

I dont think people should make item share parties very often unless they are very close friends it will cause trouble and its just so selfish cause anyone with an inv. pet would just grab all the items which is not fair at all.

Someone could do the most damage while the rest of the party is standing around waiting for the drops...imagine if he got a SoX/+X drop and some silly grabbing rabbit/or just a normal grabbing wh0re/or someone who did the least effort in killing the monster or helping the killers grabbed it..that wouldn't be fair at all.

You've got it backwards.

In an Item Share party, the person with the looting pet does the rest a favour... since it gets distributed and gold, items etc aren't left lying around all over the place.

You're thinking of Item Distribution parties, where whoever does the most damage gets the item, and those with pets loot gold and keep it all themselves.

You got that right. A grabbing pet will pick up stuff for the whole party if it's an item shared party. I know this because I have a pig and can see it picking up items and distributed it to other party members.

Iam a cleric and when I enter a party and found it set at item distribution (( which happened alot when first euro opened ))

I ask the leader to change it to item auto share as Iam a Cleric and I will mostly wont do any damage so I wont get and gold or Items
and even I wont get my quest items ...

some ppl understand and change the party to auto share ... and some ppl with hard skull don't and flame me ...

DD like wizards absolutely love item distribution parties, and infact, every random wizard player I've been partied (attempted) by leaves it set to item distribution...

Also I dislike the a$$wipes who go around KSing your mobs for 30 or so minutes because you refused to join their party...

Or

Even better, people who KS your mobs for a minute or so and then ask to be partied...

wtf!?!?! Have some effing manners!!

Suggestions to fix iSRO:
-Gold wipe
-Daily Bot bans
-Make SoX items acquirable only with Honor Points

I'm a wizard (on second character) and if I was in an exp auto share party, I'd definitely want item auto share.

Sometimes I solo grind that char, and then I'm in exp/item distro.

Cant the person with the pet just simply grab all the items and gives other party members nothing?

In item share it doesn't matter who, or who's pet picks something up, it is randomly given to someone in the party. eg there is a sword on the ground, u pick it up, check your inventory, it's not there. look at the guide window, it will say sword distributed to [player name]. Likewise, don't pick anything up at all, you will still have things appear in your inventory.

on the other hand, item distribution, means that the players with the pets and those doing the most damage get everything
