Best quest ever

Capturing Sierenes 2.

Started looking for the Forgotten Harp at about 3 pm eastern.

Took about a 2 hour break halfway through.

It's now midnight with no harp.

I got that one in 30 minutes. 0.o The longest quest was the Simos Ladon one with the ripped scales... 3 hours to finally complete it. Funnest quest was the Cerberus 3.

omg i know, i have probably spent easily over 6 hours hunting and still no harp. this is the gayest ever, seriously.

i got harp @ the 5th mob :O And yes, Simos Ladon quest, this one suck, i lvled 2 lvls doing that quest omg :O

do you think that maybe it could be because we have missed the drop, and now it is not going to drop again? i also have another friend who i have been hunting with on the same quest, they cannot get it either... this is really annoying me, the mobs are now green, im lvl21

No.

The drop rates for those quests are just bad.

It takes me forever to get a drop from a Simos Ladon, and most of the time it's a ripped scale. :banghead:

no, you dont understand, on that quest i had 20 simos laden scales, and 81 ripped scales. the drop rate was about 1 per every 4 kills, that being either scale or ripped. so that makes 400 mobs.

I estimate about 100 mobs and no harp. i only need one, and i think that somehow i must have missed it. I dont wanna give up though coz you need this for the cerberus quest, and i really wanna do that with my lvl24 SOS daggers i got cheap. They pwn.

so what do you think could have happened people? may i have missed the drop and that is it? its only available once, so i cant really abandon it and go get it again, or can i?

It's a matter of when the item is dropped for those quests.

It can range from a couple of minutes to a couple of hours in most cases.

Furthermore, even if you did miss it, I'm almost positive that another one will appear if you keep killing monsters.

Make sure you read the Quest details very carefully. I've found that it is possible to find yourself killing the wrong mob for an item, purely because of the way the quest detail reads out.

Give it a re-read and double check you're killing the right things. Then find a friend, set a party to Auto-everything and you should have it in no time.

Definitely.

I's easier to look at the quest details after you get the quest. The NPCs tend to be long-winded in their explanations.

thanks, but i re-read it then and nothing different, nemeas lions just as i have been killing. i will get my friend to come andparty and hopefully we will pwn it

i will use the auto everythuing aswell

any other trouble for anyone else like this?

It may be a coincidence but I had a guild mate drop every other quest and then pick up the forgotten harp one by itself and he got it in about 5 drops after spending 6 hours, its possible that the Forgotten Harp and another quest interfere with each other?

I don't like Euro quests in general. You end up spending so long back and forth between everywhere and you get 5% or something.

IMO the best quest is the inventory expansion quest though, I can't live without it.
