[Guide]How to powerlevel euro characters

Post by CobbZ »

First of all.

Requirements

Two computers.
High level chinese character.
Euro character to be powerlevel.

Simple Facts

If a monster is killed by a character 20+ levels higher than the mob, it doesnt drop any gold (apparently it can drop quest items).

If the difference of the monster level and the low level character is more than 11, the exp level drops significantly.

Its much easier to powerlevel if the euro is level 10+ as then they can ride horses.

The euro character must be on a different account to the chinese character, as they both need to be logged in.

A mob 11 levels higher than the lowest level character is perfect, as anything higher than 11 gets a penalty and so 11 levels higher gives the most exp.

How to powerlevel

1. Log in computer one as the chinese character. Log in computer two as the euro character.

2. Using the chinese character, set up an EXP-Auto-Share party and invite the euro character to be powerleveled.

3. Get the euro on a horse (if possible) and set it to trace the chinese character.

4. Now go back to the computer with the chinese character. Run out to the mob that is 11 levels higher than the euro (see the facts section for reason). Start killing the mobs, and watch your euro level :)

5. Every time the euro gains 2 levels, move on to the next set of mobs. This is because mobs in one area tend to be one higher than the other, e.g. lvl 21 and 22.

Thanks for reading, HAPPY LEVELLING :D

Indeed it's not using illegal software or anything, but the idea is still the same. You're providing a way to level your character without you actually having to do anything to help the leveling happen. Just set the party, trace, and walk away.

Just log in, set the bot, and walk away....

In the end, you get a higher level character that you didn't put any effort into, in both cases.

Couldn't agree more. What's the point in setting up a second computer so you can power level your euro character by having him trace your chinese char while you grind? It's pointless. Just go out in euro in a GOOD auto share party with people that know what they're doing and you'll level quite quickly.

CobbZ stated he won't be viewing this thread anymore, and that's fine. Let him go out and power level his euro character. He'll end up with a capped euro that he won't know anything about. He won't understand the finer points of the character.

well its a legal way to do it.

do you guys also complain when someone can stall all day and grind too?
he is sharing his information, you might find it lame, you might find this useful either way there is no reason to flame.

its a lazy way to grind your china char and still level an euro char, be glad at least he is WORKING for it and not just clicking that white finger.

I think this is called exploiting the leveling system in anunusual way. Im not that sure if this is legal. If it isnt forbidden or impossible it doesnt have to be legal straight away.

Why do you think Joymax made Euro so that when you fight mobs 10+ levels higher than yourself you dont get as much XP? Because otherwise people could exploit the powerleveling system. But people still use it.

borat2 wrote:do you guys also complain when someone can stall all day and grind too?

Yes as a matter of fact I personally do. Leave your staller on at night I'd say but dont take 2 server slots for yourself.

borat2 wrote:he is sharing his information, you might find it lame, you might find this useful either way there is no reason to flame.

The reason is that he makes it easier / nearly encourages people to use this method. People should be grinding in parties helping the buffers level and making friends IMO. (MMO anyone?)

True but its not only the fact if hes working for it, but also that this method (that he spreads to other people with this guide) causes a smaller ammount of party grinding people and more people that simply grind blue mobs all day.

Whing: in some way yes, but it is't exactly whining, it's protesting with reasonable arguements.

Kid(s): no.

:)

Still I already see the idea of Euro fading away; everybody solo grinding as a warrior or wizard / warlock  wow fun, Joymax did all their work for thàt?

People who sologrind / powerlevel should stick to Chinese IMHO

To the flamers, i really dont care what you say lol. You really are whiners. The fact is, people work this out, if they are going to powerlevel, they will certainly find out how. I'm just saving time :)

Ohrly? What about when the only parties you can get are full of people who run off and come back with pairs of party mobs on their tail. It wouldn't be so bad if they was the tanker, but no a Wiz/Lock has to pull. :x

Aside from the slight hijacking, pretty common info, even with the 7-80's powerleveling for 2m an hour. =/

Well,

1 People are still learning to play the game, so some people don't know yet how the party sytem works (many people for who SRO was the first MMO), they just have to learn how they can be effective as a party.

2 You just have to party up with your guild, friends or look for a better party untill people figure out how to play good with party's. When people know how to use their class in a party you can expect useable party's all over.

I'm sure your intentions were good, saving people time, but really what's the point in power leveling a euro character? Will that character really level up that much faster than actually playing the euro character by hand in a good efficient party? Seems to me if you're in a good party, you'll level either just as fast, or close. As a bonus, you'll actually be enjoying your character while it is leveling.

If you simply power level, you'll end up with a high level euro that you really won't know how to use effectively in a party because you didn't have any practice doing so. So you'll be stuck playing your euro character as if it's Chinese. Why even play europe then? If you just want different scenery, grind a new chinese character over there I guess.

Yes, you would. 2 days ago, I seen a level 53 rogue. Today, I've seen many full 6th degree chars.

meh, i wouldn't agree that its like botting. I would agree that it is exploiting the system... and yet people continue to do it.

also, i've tried doing this with a lvl 1 euro char and my 52 chinese char...i farmed on lvl 11 enemies, but i was getting like 4 exp points...if i take the lvl 11 by myself i get like 200+...why is it not working? i wanna exploit too! but only to lvl 20 so i can make masks :D...not really into euro otherwise.

Skipping past all the flamers and arguing I'd like to ask. What about people who'd do this for the sake of SP farming? I'd rather powerlevel a crapload of skill points with my guildmates and level back down than stay in Bandit's Den for 5 years. :?

I guess it depends on how you do it. If you just sit on a rudolph auto tracing a group of lvl 80s all day while you go afk.... then how is it not like botting?

If you are in a party and you are hand grinding your own character, and one of the people in your party happens to be a high level, and you're grinding reds up to 11 levels higher than you... well I guess that's a different story. Then again, if you're on mobs 11 levels higher than you, do you really stand ANY chance in attacking that mob without dieing? Will you even do any damage to it? If not, you might as well stay on your rudolph, and you're back to the first case, which to me is like botting.

So get some higher levels and grind reds, as long as you are actually doing something with your character, not just watching the exp come in as you do nothing.
