Bards !!! Are we needed ?

Ok so im actually quiet happy with my Chinese Char, and am not too interested in creating a Euro but id like to join in and help my friends every so often, So i decided to create a bard. And let me tell you she is one foxyl little musican. But being in a friends party I leveled up to level 8 with them fairly fast But I still have no party Buffs, can someone tell me if a Bard is good at all ? TBH i want to just buff and chat with the rest of the union members every so often when Im bored of grinding my Chinese. Should I be a Cleric Instead they seem alot more helpful altho they probably want a F/T cleric... Bard is pretty boring if im not Buffing so Should I just power level her sexy ass and if so to what level before i get good buffing abilities ?

Bards are mainly necessary for MP buffs, which warriors and wizards will need, mainly warriors. Also everyone wants that Moving March. Bards can always be half cleric

Bards will always get you a spot in a party.

Clerics are more helpful for a party overall. Bards skills are still nice to have and I make the switch every time I have a cleric in the party whom I trust doing a good job. I get to do more fighting than when playing a cleric and still get targeted by mobs far less (Noise skill).

I'll try asking the tanks if they actually notice the physical damage reduction the bard can provide next time I'm in the game.
