It seems to me every single class is its own thing. To cast a spell of one class you have to use a class specific weapon meaning you can't use more than one at any time unless you keep switching off weapons constantly. Also, every passive skill of every class only applies to that specific classes spells. So is the point of this just so you'll have a reason to SP farm and build up longer to have a "dual" function possible in parties or just to prevent us from creating more characters to be able to play all the classes?...

No, this is because like you said Euro is class specific.
The whole point of this is so that everyone works as a team like it is designed to be.

I don't mean about their grouping policy, they will either allow solo content to the highest levels or people will end up losing interest trying to base their fun factor on the off chance someone else is playing at the same time that wants to group. I mean what is the point of mastery * 2. Why should we be a something/something when we are either/or. You could just make a different character that has stats and armor dedicated to the class you really wanted to play. I mean even the bank is an account bank, there's nothing hindering you from doing this, the hinderance would be in carrying around 2 different armor sets and weapons the whole time trying to be another class "just incase"...
