Can't Install Euro Client

Post by Collector321 »

Whenever I try to install the client, I get to the part where you have to select what directory you wish the file to be installed in. I click start - and then it comes up with the following error message:

I tried restarting, and I have checked, I have more than enough hard drive space.

Anyone know how to resolve this?

In my post I clearly state I have more than enough space on my HDD.
You were born an original, don't die a copy.

"Common" sense? This, my friend, is a forum board. That doesn't exist here.

I have the exact same problem. I've downloaded the client from three different places, and I get the same problem with all of them.

I am using WinXP with SP2, the latest DirectX drivers etc. I have had the previous Silkroad client installed for a year or so without any problems. I have over 3GB free space on the partition where I choose to install it, and it crashes just like that, just after I've selected the directory to install the game in.

This SUCKS. >_< I was looking forward to Euro, and now I'm already behind...

so your saying after you free'd up more hdd space it let you install it? i had that same error and after multiple attempts i just deleted the install and started re-downloading it, which i now wish i hadnt cuz it takes so long now >.<, but are you saying that after you free'd up more space it let you install??

It probably needs swap space to use then, and if your page file can't grow to whatever size it needs, it would stop

Yes, after freeing up about 4 GB of space I could install it without a problem.
