hello srfers my build is pure int s/s fire light and i plan on getting heuskal passive, and i am in doubt on what kind of protection should i wear.. i know the pros and cons of each type but i can't make a decision. if any experienced player could provide me with some advice and some arguments i'd be very gratefull. thx in advance
edit*: i'm looking for something efective overall both in pvp and in grinding, i see loads of people my lvl use garment but then i look at the dmg i get 250s and my hp 1.3k and think that if i get one lag spike like 5 seconds i'm probably already dead.. but yet how do the garment people go along? and armor looks so heavy and slow .. and u get no bonuses and the majority on my server are int builds so i'm really stuck on this.. an expert opinion would help alot, thx again cheers
Unless you can afford a full sos set with max str and hp, you should go protector or armor. Most all mobs are physical based, so you need physical defense.
And I agree take a look at the ice tree.

you should go protector but if you deal VERY HIGH damage, then just get SOS wepon and use garment, but if you get caught in mellee say byebye, SOS Garment or SOS protector but definatly SOS shield AND SWORD

I am pure int spear and I would suggest that either u get heuksal for the passive and drop one of the others to get ice (for the mana shield) or u just don't get heuk and get ice instead.
Also I would strongly suggest you use armour as it's high phy def increases your chances of survival against mobs as 90% of mobs do physical damage - and as an int with garm you would suffer from this whereas with armour it's ok

a nice +3 set or either Prot. or Garms...try getting as much STR and hp on it as possible..
youll be good for PvE and PvP... unless your rich and can afford a sos/som/sosun set or weapons
if you want you can switch to a
ice/light s/s nuker
that way you have more phy def to help you out while grinding and PvP

i wouldn't go armor, sure you get more phy def. But before lvl 52 you don't really need it. You are better off killing mobs faster then increasing your def. And if you take some +str to increase you phy def and increase your hp then you'll do fine against STR builds too.
I've used garms from the start and it's not untill lvl 56 that i found out that they didn't work anymore. Untill that time i was pwning all average STR's with my spear. i think overall i had like +15-20str on my gear, so not even insanely much.

get protector u want phys prot. and mag prot both good for PvP and mob grinding and if ur a hard hitter as is u wont need the heuksul cuz my char is a duel build and u dont want the passive cuz it just takes away too much skill mastery points
Hey man, I am lvl 64 pure int s/s and I use armor. I think armor is best for a pure int nuker becuase you already have a very high magic deffence becuase you are pure int...so you have low phy deffence. I think the best way to make up for the low phy is to wear armor. Also get the ice buff it helps alot for the extra deffence. You need all the extra deffence you can get as a pure int.
