Warrior Class
Warrior Class
Mr Fudge i know your probally getting fed up with me, but anyone even you if you can help me decide what to pick it would be great. Since Mr Fudge said about the warrior and how they pull people in, i wanted to go try it out so i went and played as a warrior and i couldnt decide which weapon i wanted, i tryed all 3 of them. The Dual Axes were really fast hit decent, the Long Sword +Sheild allowed me good speed +Defense, and the two handed sword Hit really HARD for at pure str anyways, but when i was pve i seemed to be finding myself halfway dead everytime, so i need your help picking which is best, btw i need something a tanker would use so they can hit good but not die getting hit, you know?

I'd suggest the two handed sword for soloing and damage dealing and sword and shield for party playing with enough damage dealers (knockdown of the two handed sword can be really annoying for casters). Haven't tried axes yet and am still (and will probably stay) below level 20.

It sure can be, if a complete and utter moron is playing the character and keeps pounding his quickkeys. If used right, I find the enormous knock back of the shield very useful to
- get multiple enemies away from casters very quickly
- to move single strong enemies, that take a while to kill, out of zones with high spawning rates where sooner or later your casters would get eaten.

My first sig. Not the best hehehe.
Well besically this is what i want to do, i want to be able to kill them quick but not die really quick as a pure str, i mean i dont have to worry about it if i have a cleric in my party, but i want to be able to kill them quick but not take to much damage in the process while im trying to attack them. Like i found that i kept getting low HP with the 2h, but the dowble axes were a quick kill, but took some damage, and the 1h i did pretty good with, wasnt the strongest but didnt take the most damage either....i want something pretty good now, and maybe good in the long run.

It seems as though you should go dual axe then. If I remember correctly, damage on all npc warrior weapons are the same. The only reason 2 hand sword does more damage is because of the War Cry skill that temporary increases your damage. That doesn't mean other warrior builds are incapable of killing without it. Dual axe also has great skills. If you haven't seen the skill descriptions, go here.

okay. thanks man i think i will be a dual axe, i tryed it out does pretty good and quickly, uses less mana. The taunting target says it keep them away from yourself, if i use that will it draw them away from my party and towards me, so it protects them? and one more question is that i will have to use MP pots like crazy ryt? or will the bard make my MP go up?

The offensive skills of the warrior mastery seem to have a varying "taunting value".
See screenshot:
So you taunt them with your cry as well as when hitting them with your shield for example, directing their attention to you. Doesn't work 100% but very nicely. I can't recall anything like that being displayed for the rogues offensive skills.

fasd wrote:Maybe that value varies over level, the more the more it attracts??
I think so. Might be an interesting thing to figure out after the update how the whole taunting works. Don't know if anyone spent time looking into it so far as it isn't that much of an issue in the current iSRO.
If one of the factors attracting mobs is who does the highest damage to them, then that value of 1500 might count as a damage of 1500 against them. Similarly for attack skills adding the taunting value to your damage to generate your overall taunting value. Only a speculation from my side.

Guess we can only guess
taunt works just like it sounds, you taunt ..the enemy runs towards you.
but regular skills have their own taunt value, so if a nuker is nuking like mad and you just run up to the mob and taunt it out of nowhere, you might not get its attention right away if your taunt skill is low.
lets say a nukers skills has a taunt value of 100 and it nukes the party mob 10 times for a taunt value of 1k on the mob.
the warriors taunt SKILL (yes the skill called taunt, not the taunt value on a random ass skill) it starts at about 1.5k taunt value, so you should have no problem getting the mob off the nuker.
at least i think the taunt skill starts at 1.5k, maybe 2.5k, but it works 100% of the time unless the other person is higher lvl than you so he has higher skills that attract the monster to him more.
just remember, the warrior has a SKILL CALLED TAUNT.
but every skill has a smiliar taunt value, but that taunt value is wayyyyy less.

That my friend, can unlock why monsters, normally higher, end up attacking all the clerics and some few, if we getted the values of taunt in every own char and attacks/buffs...

I'm making a warlock, so if you go with a different class i'll most def be partying up ith you.
And even if you are a warlock.. we'll be the dynamic duo
<<banned from SRF for proof of botting. -SG>>
i dont know yet if im going to sub class with a cleric, im doing that now in cSRO and it works ok, but if only when you grind by yourself, when your in a party with a cleric they heal you in battle and after, and when im a warrior/cleric i can only heal myself after battle...so i dont know whether or not to go pure or not??? but me and my friend are going to have a party like this, me tanker, him nuker, and a cleric and a bard.

you will never be able to tell the efficiency of your build through cSRo
mainly because youll prob get to lvl 24 at most if you start playing now all the way up to til the inpection on tuesday morning. (monday night for some due to time zones)
just quit csro, and go with your gut for isro.
