Regarding Bot Block & Connection Problems 7/20/2007

Hello. This is Silkroad Online.

A patch regarding [ Bot & Hacked Client Block ] has been applied in order to create a clean gaming environment.

As this patch has been applied to wipe out bot programs and hacked clients, legitimate users using normal clients will not experience any problems logging on to the game. However, users that use abnormal or hacked clients & bot programs may only log on to the game by installing an unaltered normal client that has been newly downloaded.

After the application of this patch, we will wipe out any bot & hacked client users.

am i the only one who sees that there is something VERY wrong with this? What do they mean? that there wont be any massive banlist??

F*CK, why should botted characters be allowed to continue logging in the first place?? Is Joymax telling me that after MONTHS of 24x7 botting, the slate is gonna be wiped clean for these cheaters and counter starts from zero now?

I am really pissed now. I swear, i am really coming close to the end of my patience with this game.

Dude did they ever said they give you a ban list. They updated the client to prevent BOT/PK2 eddit. Nothimg less nothing more. Please dont flame

well it seems to say that the patch is to block bot programs. not about banning botters. that statement sounds like advising botters to get the right client to log in to continue play.

they are not banning botters after all. not good ... just not good ...

and it also sucks to keep reading ppl whining about others complaining justifiably about the problems of this game. if it was just one person who keeps complaining, then yes he's a whiner. But when we have hundreds of ppl complaining, then there IS a problem. has that ever sunk into your thick skull?

if you cannot see that not banning player bots and letting them get away by just re-installing their client, then there is nothing further to say to you. ppl who argue on your side invariably fall into 2 categories

1. you bot yourself or are indirectly advantaged by botting
2. you are a low level noob who has not experienced the hard grind of this game

My guess is because botters buy silk also.

A banlist would be nice too see, but I'm not complaining. Just to see the game cleared of gold bot makes me very happy.

I don't think it's possible to list all the bots that have been blocked by the client anyhow. It was so many that it made the servers POPULATED.

It's ok to complain... but just post your grievances/bitchings in an existing thread. There's no need for complainers to make a new thread every time and fill up the first few pages in the general section with complaints about Joymax.

This thread i started is in context with the latest notice put up by joymax on their homepage. It implicitly states that botters in the past will not get banned, lvl80 fully farmed botters with full sosun, all slate wiped clean.

But yea you really expected them to ban them, nah think about it, they start banning people, mainly high lvls.. omgz then who is gonna buy 8D astrals and immortals? yea legits but seeing how this is going us legits are very rare, if they started banning people with modified clients, servers would be back to formula, almost empty... yes good news for us... but bad news for their bank accounts...and for GM chulsu and tarky... lol

anyways i have my doubts that this whole new aproach on modified client banning will work... but it really would be nice, maybe i can stop using premium to log on
