[int] To wear garment or armor.

Post by jorik »

Hi everyone!

I was thinking... My character is a lvl 35 pure int. right now I'm wearing armor because of the high damage I received from the physical based mobs. But, I miss my garment. It looks better at this level and it made me faster.

to be honost, wearing armor did nog give me that much more physical defense, but it did cut off alot of my magical defence.

What do you think? Should a pure int always wear armor, because of the lack of hp? Or should an int wear garment, because of the speed and all?

I never even considered protector. Somehow I just don't want to use it, hehe. Sorry. :P

there was a poll on this already about a month ago

imo after lvl 32 pure ints armor > garment and prot are not even an option cause they cant excel in any purpose, prot as other people say"being the best of both worlds" cant excel in either world
pure ints have low life so every single point of def they can get should be squeezed in

for pvm physical dmg would hurt especially crits but magical dmg will never crit so as long as u can take 5 of their hit without dying then u can tank 2-3 of them
20%speed loss isnt that big of an issue since pure ints are nukers and are ranged, usually in a spawn where running isnt much of a factor
20%mana extra is just more money, not dying and losing the 2%exp is already a money/time saver, u should never waste ure time just cause u dont wanna spend the money, time > money

for pvp pure int vs pure int same lvl is always who gets the first hit, armor or garment they will kill each other in 1nuke+1shout
against all str obviously the armor is better than garment
against hybrid still armor cause ure base magic def is higher than physical def

You play to your losses right? Therefore i think armour would give INT guys a bit of an edge for physical attacks while they still have the good magic resistance.

Hèhè, after reading all of your replies (thank you) I have chosen to stick with armor.

But.. I have also created a new char wich is a pure str with offcourse garment. I am going to SP farm like crazy at first.

Too bad i had to make in an Aege (or else I would miss alot of money of my other char) because Babel works just great.

^^ yeah ditto
i just switched to 4th degree protector, and its alot better than garment, it still adds speed and mp bonus, while tacking on an extra 20 or so physical defense and only loosing like 10 magic defense

PROTECTER FTW (could this be the rise of the underdog?)
