wat do u like better, dealing out ALOT of dmg. or dealing out lots of damage, but not as much BUT u can tank a bit, since ur pure str (at least u should be) and cuz u wear garms.
imo rouges are the versitile euro build. wizzies are the cover buy euro build.
its ur choice

I usedto play SRO before, long back, about 2 months before the cap was raised to 80, and decided to come back to Euro.
Same problem as you, buttt, after a lot of reading I decided:
Wizard (Only things i liked):
- Lots of damage in 1 shot.
- Better looking weapon (xbows and daggers look kinda plain)
- Better looking skills (probably, if you look at nuke skills on current iSRO)
- Levels up faster at lower levels
Rogue:
- More like my old account which was pure str.
- Can tank lots more ie. fight more than 1 mob at a time (which might get really boring)
- Stronger in PvP
- Damage amount isn't that much less when compared to increase in hp and defense.
- CAN crit (Nukers can't crit, they just hit a lot more without critting)
Sooo, I'm going Rogue, with subclass as Cleric/Bard.

Personal opinion based on my experience on ALL builds in cSRO, europe expansion.
I ran all builds, discovered what I like and don't like in each builds. When I ran my rogue, I was utterly disappointed by the fact that I couldn't keep my monsters locked on me, they always ran toward anyone hitting them, even clerics and that, even after starting the attack myself.
It's not a bug, it's fact that rogues have little or no taunting skills. Keeping that in mind, I felt that a rogue has little or no use in a PT at lower levels and probably the use is still marginal at higher levels. If you have a warrior, hopefully not an annoying 2H, around two in a PT, a mix with nukers and clerics, and maybe a bard, then I just can't see why bother have a spot for a rogue which hits much less than a warrior, takes much less damage than a warrior and doesn't keep its monsters locked on him/her putting the entire garment wearing PT members at high risk of death.
Now, some of you may say "What about ranging?". Again, why have a spot for a ranger rogue? Damage is marginal compared to a warrior, you cannot keep monsters locked on you, you keep pushing monsters (because of your main spell) further and further into other possible PT monsters thus putting the entire team at risk.
But I would agree with anyone who would say "Play what you like", many people will be opened to having a rogue in their team. I do know, as far as I am concerned, 2H and rogues will be out of my PT's. 2h is quite easy to understand, the UTTERLY annoying KD which stops everyone from attacking a monster, or worse, trashes nuker's spells because you started a spell and he/she KD's and WHAM! You lost 341 MP for nothing because the KD canceled your spell. As for the rogue, I simply prefer having warriors, real tankers that take in real damage and are capable or also quite of a high output of damage on their targets and each time they cast they main spell (depending on the warrior type) taunts monsters on a continuous basis.
And yes, I played nuker and loved it. And no, a rogue cannot take monsters many levels higher than its levels because it simply unable to deal with the damage (no self healing) and doesn't have a high output of damage itself. Who ever said they could either didn't play a rogue or had gear that was worked up quite a bit. You can also forget about taking out giants, forget about taking out a giant 1 level up your rogue level, even a current level fight will require a great deal of luck on the part of a rogue.
Of course, it's not the same at all with a wizard, a wizard can easily take out monsters much higher level. But giants are a HUGE problems, even lower level ones and also champions appearing anywhere may pop you in one hit depending on whether or not you use a certain buff.
Overall, any builds has its strong side and its weak sides. Chose the one you want to play and stick with it.

For my lvl 62 i make 30k critic on moob lvl 64 in the cave .. hum wizzard never make so many dommage on one moob.

rogue sucks in party, ive played a cleric and the rogue started stabbing acting as a tank and i heal him when he gets hurt and the monster just comes running after me and the rogue has no taunting moves and it completely sucks balls cuz im just running around praying for the rogue to stab the little daggers into the mob to hurt it and im still running around and i die and then he gets mobbed and dies and the bard dies and then its just chaos with all people running cuz rogues skills have shit taunt.
awful party class if you have no warriors, and if you have warriors whats the point of having a rogue dagger? lol.
and whats xbow for, just get a wizard to do more dmg and taunt with the warriors to tank.

i bet theres at least 800 Pur Str Fire Glaivers per server and 1000 Pur Int Nukers fire/light per server
theres no variety already so no need to harp on it just because this time around the common class will be rogues in stead of glaivers and wizards instead of fire/light nukers

I think we have given you more than enough feedback.
Once again, I must emphasize that you must decide on your own which you want to play. However how many more opinions you will get, some are totally dedicated to rogues (I got no idea why some people keeps calling rogues "rouge" which means "red" in english") and some are dedicated to wizards.
I told that I will not accept rogues in my PT, in my stick opinion, they are totally useless in a PT, totally. Even a warlock I could do without in a PT, the same output by a wizard is much greater, why I care about the damage a warlock could do? But again, lots of people like the idea of a warlock, it does have nifty spells. And yes, rogues are awesome with their masks, it is a totally unique ability, a wonderful one too. Stealth? Why would we care about stealth in a PT?
I do very much lean toward wizard eventhough I will not be one myself, I tried and liked it very much, but my true calling is 2 axes, my true love.

You ppl seem to be forgetting the roles of the party members. The Rouge class with daggers is a damage dealer but with CrossBow its a PULLER. Its job is to draw the mobs towards the party and damage them along the way.
Of course the Wizard can out damage the rogue its the MAIN damage dealer in a party. and Of course the Warrior can handle more damage than the rogue its the MAIN Tank class of the party.
It all comes down to who you have in your party in reality you could make a great party with 2 clerics 1 bard 2 warriors and 3 Wizard you could probably nix the bard and still do just fine and the you'll have a party with just 3 class out of the 6 available. That doesn't make the other 6 any more or less useful.
IMO a rogue using crossbow is a great addition to a party and a D-Dagger using rogue will make for a great thief (my favorite/only job) so it seems more versatile to me than choosing a warrior or a mage or a warlock.....
