See I don't agree. It may be true that Joymax already has a list of people they will be banning, but if those users are not already banned, this warning allows those users to save all of their gold and equipment before the character gets banned. That will give the botter a HUGE start on a new "legit" character. Better to not warn them and force them to lose all of their stuff.
Same goes for the botters who did not get caught yet. Don't warn them. That's just helping them. Like someone said before, if the police already have proof that a group of people committed a crime and are on their way to make an arrest, they won't post a warning saying that they are coming. Likewise, they won't warn the public that they are setting up a checkpoint at a specific location to catch people that have not been caught yet.

But I guess they are giving them a chance to come clean, also they want people to keep playing and buying silk and hope previous botters that will have no choice to be legit keep buying silk. All business strategy, cant blame em.

Then they better be moving that gear to a char that has never been logged on the game with an altered client anytime in the last few weeks..... You know those weird lag spikes and DCs we been getting? Id be willing to bet that is some kind of check going on. So if you are using an altered client during one of those, you're prolly screwed, even if you transfer gear. lol

Indeed. I'd be willing to bet most botters wouldn't be smart enough to do that, except maybe the ones reading this thread
You may be on to something with the lag spikes. I haven't seen evidence that it is a check, but I don't see anything else that it would be.

I'm satisfied that there's going to be a mass bot ban, and if I read the notice correctly, maybe some actual bot detection methods.... if indeed it all works correctly. I just try to look at the bigger picture. It's not just "YAY thousands of bots are going bye bye!"
Nonetheless, massive bot bans are always GOOOOD!

Please re-setup the normal client whoever uses the abnormal client and we recommend you not to use illegal program such as bot program right away.
Thankyou.

ROFL? Don't use them right away, wait till 369 releases a new one.

I can also testify this is true, the ban list is always ready once they release the message.
