umm u have to pay for the actual game and then pay 15$ monthly .
so?
if you play sro, im gonna laugh you straight in the face.
lvling without buying silk, is like shooting yourself in the foot, and then try to walk.
it takes hours and hooooours to only get a little bit further.
you need a ticket, prolly a premium every motnh, you need a monkey if you want to grind fast, and you'll probably want some other things with it.
with that, you already spent like $25 each month.
3 months of sro,and sro is already costing more.
please nub,i beg you to think before you actually pay.
OT: there are bots in wow,and goldsellers, its just that there arent as many.
and they get banned pretty fast(goldspammers are either logged out or banned fter 5 secs.)
and bots are so visible, that there isnt really a bot problem.
wow is a great game, and 10x better then sro.
some people just dont like its style, which i can uinderstand
Shave a single hair....really? Just yank that pubic hair shit off your face.
Your mom made it sound like a phuckin bean stock is gonna start growing off your face and seek vengeance for cutting it.

It's $65 for the game + expansion and you get 1 month free. Then it's $15 a month after that.

Let me tell you, I am a WoW ex-SRO player. I got the 10-day trial and then bought the game on day 2. It's that good. I have seen a bot only once in the over 200 hours I have logged. There are so many features that I keep telling myself "Gee self, I wish SRO had that." Most of my guild has also made the switch and are now a guild again on WoW. If you would like to, you are welcome to come play with us. We are on Firetree.
WoW base game (includes 30 day subscription) - $20
WoW 60 day time card - $30
WoW Burning Crusade Expansion (not really necessary until you are lvl 50ish) - $40
That rounds out to about $15/month. For all of you hard-core SRO players out there, I bet you spend more money than that on silk every month, no?
I have had no regrets since I made the switch, and the best part is that I can always play SRO for an hour or two if I miss it.
I hope this helps in your decision. Feel free to check out my guild's website: http://royalbloodguild.awardspace.com
EDIT:
Also, if you still don't want to pay monthly, there are such things known as private servers out there. Give good 'ol Google a try...

the "ï dont want to pay money" is complete retarded.
$15 a month is nothing, and even if it is for you,im pretty sure that you spent more on sro.

it wasnt directed at the non sro gamers
i just see a lot of ppl from sro posting things like that, but at the same time they spend $25 on silk in sro.
logic?, not at all.
EDIT:i understand if wow if not youre type of game, totally understandable, but the money argument,is for most of the sro players just not true.
will edit my other post,as i became a bit aggressive
its late..and im tired

$25 x 3 = $75
Wow original game + expansion = $60 + 2 months game time =$90
So which costs more now? Anyway personally I only spent $45 on silk over 5 months of SRO. Do your math right next time please. The only one who really needs to think here is you.

no i dont.
say if you have 2 players, and one plays sro and one wow.
sro $25 each month(premium + grabber,so first months is $30)
wow. $20 for the game, free 30 days included
EDIT:i only just realised, wow has a free 30 days with buying the game
so in the firsth month
sro player spent 30(buying the grabber cost more then maintaining it)
wow spent $20
wow is cheaper
month later
wow=15+20 total of 35 over 2 months.
sro=30+25=55 over 2 months.
sro already costs more then wow in 2 months.
after a year:
wow=$165
sro=$310
thats right, sro costs $145 more.
now , you mentioned the expansion.
buying the expension, is a thing you could do.
but ,say you do.
and it costs $40, then wow is still $105 cheaper.
and as i said earlier, not buying a prem+grabber is like shooting yourself in the foot while trying to walk/run
it is possible, but painful and very very slow
Sharp342 wrote:maybe they like SR better. Its just opinions, if you like WoW better good for you go play but live with the people who like SR better
yes,this is possible,and i respect that.
what i ment to say whas, alot of ppl say "why play wow,it cost so much".
and i wanted to show that thats not true

why am i feeling that you either didnt read my post ,or dont have an high lvl sro char?
ill quote myself for the last time
at lvl 5x its already a hell to lvl without those 2,and above lvl 6x,its impossible.
it'll take you a year or longer to reach the cap without, probably even 2 years
and even if you dont agree with that, and still find it to be that much money, why dont paly illegal?
there are special illegal servers,at which you can play wow for free.
sure they wont be as crowded, but you can play wow
oh ,and you can always join a server, unless there is server maintenance

That's funny because your argument is that WoW is more expensive when it's not. Anyway I know a legit on Olympus that's level 70 now who has never spent money on gold. So your argument has no logic in it whatsoever. And you don't need a rabbit or squirrel at all, you can get by on a GT which is $13 a month so I don't see why you think a premium ticket is necessary.

i personaly would love to try WoW(cant aford it yeah its cheap but still i cant not yet..why? dont wanna explain it now) and i do think its main advantage over sro is so many more options in every field of gameing so if u can try it hemagoku go for it
man meaby 15% of sro players have pt+"grabber"
its not "not buying and playing" part problem its "not buying" and trying to log on part that is trouble i lose desire to play while trying to log...and yeah another advantage of wow u dont have to wait or if u have to there is line....right?(thats what its been told to me)....
anyhow i started to play mtg online these days instead of sro u get game right away and i like mtg

as i already said,its late where i live,so its either that,or i made a typo.
but i never intended to say that wow is more expensive
for youre legit on olympus,i never said it isnt possible.
its just a pain in the ass,and i would like to know how long it took him.
if you dont have a grabber, youre slowing down youre grinding speed ALOT,esp if you are a nuker or an archer.
sure ,you dont have to buy a prem.ticket, but imo youre foolish if youre not going too.
a golden costs $13, and a prem $20 orso.
thats a differenve of $7, anyone who isnt totally poor will pay that $7 for an instant log-in.
i sure as hell know i would.
unless $13 is all you have, anyone smart would just buy the 70 silk extra, and have an instant log-in
So your argument has no logic in it whatsoever.
yes it has,you just refuse to accept what i type
cuchulainn wrote:I spent $615 on SRO in the year that I played. That's enough to play WoW for 3.5 years.
thats what i mean, didnt you played sro pretty official.
thought i read you and youre guild were pretty pro.
so,you heard it from some1 else then me

i never said that.
you again, didnt read any of my posts, did you?
well what do you know.
my point is,that im trying to prove a argument that gets used by non-wow players is false.
i hear in every topic, from a pretty dedicated sro-er,that wow is too epensive.
i calculated and shit, too show thats not true
hell,i like sro myself too.
and tbh,if they fix the log-in ,botters, goldspammers.and give us more to do,i would play it again.
i <3 the style, and can understand why some1 prefers sro over wow.
