Wizard question: How many books can you get?

Post by paths »

The wizard has four main attack books: earth, fire, ice, and lightning.

My question:

Could you max all four books?

If you had to choose only two books to add to, what books would they be?

k....If I were to max two trees, would fire and ice be a good combo?
Or...
fire and light?

Is there gonna be auto-pot and auto-pill in the new Europe edition SRO?

Just get all, that is the best option, since all elements have very powerful spells.
Stopped playing SRO a long time ago; still pr0.

If I am a wizard, would I be able to get cleric skills? Or are they all independent, making it impossible for me to get it?

Thanks for the replies btw.

they are independent
you can still get them.

wizard and cleric are 2 diff masterys, but theres nothing stopping you. Its just that if you cast the cleric buffs and then remove your cleric rod , all the cleric buffs will disappear.

That's the response I was looking for....thanks :)
Another question....
Is sp farming the same for european characters as chinese characters? Or is it somewhat different?
Clerics str builds or int builds?

same kind of farming. but it doesnt really exist in euro because you only need to carry 2 masteries (wizard and cleric for u) or you can just stick to 1 mastery.

every now and then youll want a 1 gap, but sp shouldnt be a problem.

youll want to be full int for max wizard damage and to have enough mp to cast those nukes cuz the 15 sec pot time really sux.

I assume cleric is int build due to the mp used for healing, etc. ?
Or am I wrong?

yup, unlike chinese weapons which have both physical and magical, the european weapons ONLY have one type of damage on their weapons stats.

only physical attack:
1h/2h sword.
crossbow
daggers.
axes.

only magical attack:
harp
cleric rod
warlock rod
mage staff.

and yea, u need the MP to heal. Full int's best if you are also gonna be a wizard so u can deal massive damage and fill in for a cleric if there isnt one in your party.

TYVM! for your help, MrFudge. :)
There really needs to be an sp chart for euro characters cause I am looking towards needing 110,000 sp for my char.
I dunno how big of a gap that requires.
But the build I am looking towards getting will make my character own :) .
----
Another question (i'm asking a lot...sorry bout that)...

Will the stat points be the same to add towards str and int...or is there none of that anymore with a european char?

yea stat points is the same as always.

one thing about keeping a gap though....

on each equipment there is a level requirement in order to wear it, but its for your MASTERY (not character level like in chinese)

so lets say you found some nice armor shoulders, it should say on it that you need lvl 18 warrior mastery in order to wear it. If your character is lvl 18, and your mastery is lvl 16 because you are 2 gapping, you CANT wear the armor  .

as opposed to knowing what buffs "stack", the only one i know of right now is the marching speed buff that bards cast to raise the speed of all the party members, that buff stays even if you unequip your bard harp. The rest of the buffs is a mystery and only time will tell.

**edit**

clerics have an INT and STR raise buff that they cast on people, i know that buff DOES NOT STACK unless u use them last.

ive tried it with my cleric, i would cast that buff on people, then switch to harp to use the speed buff, and the cleric buffs would be gone.

on the other hand if i cast the harp speed buff first, then switch to cleric rod and cast the INT and STR buffs, all the buffs stay :D

its just tricky.

noobie at euro :P

there arent imbues at euro race
and from what ive seen ive ur a wizard ull probly one hit kill or if u cant one hit, use ice nuke first then fire nuke
thats what ive used and seen using so far and its the best/most efficient, and erm once ug et capped, just max all books, gg :D

@ MrFudge (and others if they know) MrFudge just knows so much already :P

as i'm going to make two characters ( i don't know what to choose, pure str or pure int .. done both in chinese sro..)

1) Whats the most preferable sub-class for a wizard?
2) Whats the most preferable sub-class for a warrior (2h sword)?

I don't know....I am prolly gonna go cleric and add the bard speed buff.
2) Whats the most preferable sub-class for a warrior (2h sword)?
I would say sword/shield. If you need to tank heavily, this would be the best way if your hp goes down too low when using 2h sword.

Here are my questions reposted that weren't answered:
1. What is the maximum number of mastery levels that a euro char can use for the lvl 60 cap?
(i know that the chinese have a maximum mastery level of 300)

2. Approximately what would be the best gap if I need 111,000 sp by lvl 60 for an int euro char? (if anyone knows)

1) wizards subclass is either bard, cleric, or warlock.
if you choose bard you can speed buff yourself and stuff for solo grind if you cant find a party. You can also fit in for a missing bard. Same thing with cleric you can heal yourself in solo grind and fill in for a missing cleric, too bad you cant buff yourself with any cleric skills, all cleric buffs are aimed at selected targets and you cant target yourself (shift click works but you still cant buff yourself it says "invalid target" for cleric buffs)
warlocks nice if you are fighting party mobs, start out with warlock curses, poison, burns, whatever and then switch back to wizard to cast damage. The warlock curse/burn/poinson/etc will remain on the mob and will just help u kill the party mob faster. Also, the warlock has an HP drain skill where it sucks HP out of the mob, so it basically heals you and does pretty decent damage. It's all preference, but i'd go with cleric or warlock for healing purposes.

2)subclass for 2h sword could be a bard solely for the speed buff cuz if you are alone without a speed buff the warrior 2h sword is sooooo slow its painful. Also your mp is low and bard skill would allow you to suck some MP back into your Full Str char. You can try cleric to heal yourself up a bit after facing a couple mobs, but chances are you'll have another person with cleric skills around, or pot and vigor will be enough.

@ path
1) you get more mastery levels as your character levels, i think you get 2 more each level or something, im not sure, but its good enough so you keep your main mastery at your char level and your submastery only a couple levels behind.

2)for 110k sp til lvl 60 id prob go with a 2-3 gap for a bit then just hopping around 1-2 gap. I doubt 4+ gap will be necessary.

So for question #2, when I become lvl 2, I get a limit of a mastery level of 4, and it continues to accumulate in that sense?

Will there be auto-pot and auto-pill (cure abnormal status automatically..currently applied to chinese chars) for the euro chars? Or will auto-pill and auto-pot be disabled overall?

there is auto pot and auto pill just like in chinese, just that when it activates you will see a 15 second counter counting down to 0 so u can pot again.
