Sorry if this is already a topic with a poll...but i coudlnt find one and want to know general feel.
If joymax said tomorrow from july 27th SRO will no longer be F2P, and was now P2P, would you pay to play?
I would. Hopefully that way they could start to employ more people..WAY more gm's...fix up chat to make more user friendly...get rid of gold advertising in all citys on every server...MUCH better bot protection and bannning statagies...
what do u think...?

I seriously doubt that the problems on iSRO are present because there is a lack of funds. Thus, even if they did make it pay to play, I would not expect things to suddenly change.
So no, I wouldn't.
lol yeah...no use fighting opinion there because of post delay...
A question, do you buy silk?

No, I don't.
The Item Mall stuff(squirrels, pigs, etc.) doesn't interest me, and my login problems haven't forced me to buy a PT.

Yes, I do have the means and the funds to spend if I chose to do so.

if they fixed the grind so that levels like 40-150 be able to be done in hours/days instead of weeks/months, REALLY cracked down on bots and gold sellers, made chat filters/ignore option, let ppl buy monkeys ingame with ingame gold, and got rid of the item mall, and added more content to quests instead of "collect these", "kill these", or "take this to donwhang for me and come back", and made the fee 10-15 dollars a month. hell yes I'd pay

BAHAHA only joking man. You know i love you.
But on topic and all, hell no. Think about it, all the problems may have been cleaned up, but i would be paying to play the game, without the added benefits of a monkey, gt, etc. If i could get free item mall options with my account, then maybe i would consider it.

No, I agree with Aiyas. Clearly Joymax is all about the money and not about providing customer service. I don't think going P2P would change anything except increase gold seller prices. Player bots might thin out some but not noticeably. What Joymax needs is entirely new management. They would have to sell the company for it to be saved but we all know that won't be happening!

One off fee? That would probably be a good idea, if they made it like guild wars, you only pay for patches, it might be good. But the exp tnl's need to be decreaced as well as more ways to get sp then just grinding for it, seing the sp needed for 90 cap is gonna be stupid, that's alot of effort and people hand grinding will spend months and months just trying to get fully farmed for 80-90. The way I see it now, and the way it will be later on this game will make people wanna bot the way the sp is needed. I don't even want to think how much sp you'll need for 90-150 skills LOL.
If joymax don't change their act on how to make customers have an enjoyable game rather then it being so much hard and not enough customer care then they won't go far with legits staying at the higher lvl's *guarentee most people will prob give up at 100+ if they even get that far*.
Joymax need's a better customer service, they need to have at least a gm per server, be a bit more active. Have more employee's to take care of other things rather then gm's taking care of most of it. theres so much work that could be improved into silkroad team. I know they could have the money for it, theres thousands of people playing this game, all like what 15 servers? are maxed out every day at least 2k of those buy silk if theres 3k per server there making money, alot of Farking money.
They could use some of that money to improve what they have and they know it, this patch that is comming out is good, i'm not saying joymax is an entirely bad company, but they need to pay attention to the customers they have and employ more people to take care of it, rather then trying to have the bare minimum employee's for such a big game as this.
If they took care of those problems, i'd say yes to p2p if not then no, they lack the customer love that guildwars/wow have and they need to work on that.

Well maybe that's what sro needs, however they already make a hell of a lot of money. But if the bots were reduced to 0 and the lag/connection problems were fixed i'd pay a certain amount of money to play. Maybe than they can hire more staff and we can actually talk to Gm's instead of hearing those auto-made msges,

First of all, there's no guarantee the game will be fixed if they made it P2P because Joymax developers are incompetent. What I would do, however, is if they said they would actually decided to start to fix the problems that plague their game, and actually do, I would spend $20 on a Premium Ticket. In this way, Joymax gets my money by actually fixing their game, it's a win-win situation. And I've told Joymax many times they can make more revenue by fixing their game instead of simply relying on gold bots filling their servers, in an attempt to make people buy PTs. Of course, they ignore their constituents.

no game is worth a monthly payment.
one time price, maybe, depends on the QoS (non existant with JM)
f2p with item mall is best, that way we have the option to 'tip' the company if we're pleased, as night says.
the CIN that csro now uses, or was it ksro...iono, that could probably remove godl bots altogether... bit of a tricky implementation for a multinational version though
