Web Hosting
This may be a stretch, but does anyone here run their own website?
I'm looking for a good hosting company. Its for a small website, so nothing fancy. I just need ASP.NET support. Not much bandwidth or storage.
I've been doing a little bit of my own research, but I can't really make a decision. Any suggestions out there?

Doesn't matter. The money isn't important.
But i do want semi-dedicated or dedicated hosting and ASP.NET support. That's all I really care about now. I don't need much bandwidth or storage, I'm just looking for the best ratio of storage/bandwidth per dollar.

they have free options aswell
LAMP, BOOOOO!!!
whats wrong with it seems fine to me?
Nothing. LAMP servers are pretty damn reliable. But I don't use PHP or MySQL. I'm an ASP.NET and MSSQL guy.
I love Linux, but I'd prefer to stick with what I know already.

Try out http://www.ixwebhosting.com
I used them as a host a few years ago, and they were absolutely fantastic. How they are now, I don't know, but I'm sure they are just as good.

I've been with http://www.pandela.com/ since the day they opened. Back then it was pretty rough, but now they are an excellent host. You'd have to look at what they support, I use php and mysql but I haven't tried asp.net on their servers.

Nice. Those guys look like they have the most bang for the buck. I'll keep them in mind.

http://www.110mb.com - one of the best free places i have ever used. Loads of space, loads of bandwidth and you can use php and other scripts (i only use php but a list of everything is here http://www.110mb.com/plans.php). Only problem is a file size limit and you cant use it for storage.
Also, you cant always register, this place offers a hell of alot for free and they cant afford to let too many people register so sometimes they close it for a week or two.
Anywho, if you get annoyed with the file size limit (some times it changes, once it went down to 1mb so you couldnt upload anything bigger but most of the time its 5mb if i remember correctly) you can always make an account at:
http://www.freewebtown.com - Another good free place, lots of space and bandwidth. more bandwidth is very cheap if you run out (was 2$ for 2gb more, might have changed now) and buying more removes adverts from your site forever although i dont use this place for a website anymore, i use it for hosting files as they let you use the space as storage. All my images go there and the a video every now and them when i make them and i used to make mods for halo and the grand theft auto games so i used to host them there.
I know, both those sites may not look very professional but they are very good.
As for pay sites. Ive never used one, these 2 places offer more than i need for free! I use www.1and1.co.uk for buying domains though, very cheap, they have hosting packages too, not sure how good they are
