suddenly, BAM!! her account is stripped and she is murderer lvl 9. she is BLINDSIDED by this, because these are people that she TRUSTED, people she has gotten to know extremely well over the past several months, her guildmates, people who are a part of her online FAMILY.

wouldn't YOU be hurt beyond belief? wouldn't YOU feel betrayed? to her, this is WAY more than just the loss of her character. it is a betrayal in the most basic sense, a violation of a personal boundary. i cannot even imagine what she is going through right now.

so ask yourself, is she a moron for building friendships, for allowing herself to trust, and for in essence being human? i think not. you show me someone on this forum who cannot relate to what has happened here and i will show you a liar.

your friends are not the majority of SRO players. they're the people you have toiled with, grinded with, fought beside, and grown with. NO ONE knows who is gong to flark up their whole world. you could log on today and be stripped because someone in your guild used your name to look your myspace profile up and guessed your id/pw from info they found on that. that's the point. if she had any idea that these guys were going to ruin her, do you think she would have trusted them? how careful can you possibly be?????

You can't give your info out no matter what. You still don't know these people really. You haven't met them in real life. They could be psychopathic serial killers for all you know. O_o

Also you gotta understand how people think. They might have intentions of giving you your char back and not messing with it. But once they get on your char and see all that sexy gear...some people start to think "Who's gonna do anything if I take all this stuff". And then you are owned. ;o

I would only trust someone I have known irl for a long time with my info. Some people just can't understand that until something like this happens.

BladeNZ and SG are so right, all this flame and ha ha about what happened is just pathetic. Its people just gettin on the bandwagon and thinking its cool that the majority agree the girl was dumb for giving out her acc details.

She was just someone who was perhaps generous and proud of her account that she wanted other people to play on it so they would know what its like to play on a high lvl. its the same old on these forums, full of spam, useless comments and kiddy politics.

its a f*king game! a game!!! and it seems a large % of the SRO community are far more interested in ripping each other off, scamming and doing anything they can to be in possesion of virtue items, things that dont exist. some sorry situation this game can be sometimes.

true again, but, since i know and seen how many players have gotten stripped by so called friends or even real friends i tend to be more carefull at giving information to someone i only know from a game...

At the other hand... maybe i'm lucky that 80% of my guild members are people i know IRL and trust.

I have been with my guild for nearly a year or so now and I would never give any of the members my ID and/or PASS regardless of how friendly they are... none of my guild members would give their IDs and/or PASSes to anyone either. None of us are that stupid.

If Joymax does anything right it is spamming the pink text "Do not give your ID or PASS to ANYONE". Hell, they even know that it is stupid.

giving away your ID and pass is not a smart thing to do, ever. but you guys are missing the point. the point is that someone gave trust, and that trust was violated. it doesn't matter if it was a cheating spouse, a corrupt politician, an embezzling businessman, or a friend stripping your video game account. trust is a precious and fragile thing, and no one deserves to be taken advantage of. anyone who thinks otherwise obviously hasn't had it happen to them.

The victim was to naive and to good a person and she paid the price for it...

It's a shame that people like that are always the first to fall.

There will always be evil...watching us for slip ups and then when we least expect it they will come and they will strike down hard.

The shit part is: They don't care for the personal feelings of the victim one bit..they have what they need. While the victim stays behind all alone and possibly in tears after losing months of hard work.

Shit like this makes me so pissed.
