The Fire Shield skills, do I need a shield?

It says: ”Decreases the power of abnormal state by infusing the force into the shield.”
I’m an archer so I don’t use a shield, does the Fire Shield skills still work?

yesit helps a ton in pvp get a shield do the skill and unequip it

you are using bow > change to shield > buff > vhange back to bow... it will work

if any dusnt know about making quick key's for weapons ,
here is how

drag and drop your shield and your weapon into your skill slots to make quick buttens to switch fast
i use this set up in my F4 buff belt..( yeah thay call it belt .. weird huh ..)

number 8 is my shield , number 9 is fire shield phenix , number 0 is my spear

if i just pres 8,9.0 i pull out a shield cast the skill and pull out the spear again .

oow yea almost forgot , no need to make quick key's for arrows , if you load up your bow like that it loads up the arrows with it
just make sure you have enuf space in your invertory to place the extra quiver of arows into that your char is using in its weapon slot . or els it wont switch to the shield couse you dont have enuf space to place the bow and arrows into

Thanks now I know but I'm not sure if that skill is necessary because I'm going pure str so I will have plenty of life and I haven’t farmed that much sp.

this will really help. You will start to feel the need for it when you start to go trading and fighting ice blade npc thieves , earth taoists/ magicians, and other monsters that can infilict an abnormal status to you.

if you dont care about pvp and hardly ever do it , you dont need to much of the shield skill, it dus however help alot in pilling away effects with 1 pill that would normly take 2 pills to cure

and it realy helps vs the zombie curse , that curse totaly blows ..
