Ahhh! Windows Vista is evil!
Well, i have been defending it for a while (the 32 bit versions, 64bit versions are screwed beyond belief) but now the time has come where it has owned me.
Today for no apparent reason my hard drive re-installed it self and this counted as a hardware change so i needed to activate vista again although it wont let me because the product key is already in use. That is true, because it in use on this freaking machine!!!!!!!
Now i try to contact microsoft but guess what! i got to pay £40 + VAT for freaking support!!!!!!! And they wont even reply until monday/tuesday because the support is only there monday to friday!!! They better get it fixed!!!!!!!!!!
[/rant]
sorry for all the exclamation marks

This isn't a problem with Vista, it's MS in general. Crappy coding, abusive business tactics, DRM.
The big reason I stopped supporting MS was that I realized with quite a bit of horror that they don't care about the tech industry, improving technology, or anything else--- they're trying to kill it off for their own profits. Reading this, this and
this were my breaking point. Even after the propaganda aspect, MS has done some really cheap shit in the name of money.
I personally like computers, so I won't support them trying to restrict everyone to their products.
Linux has some surprisingly good games, and the amount of Windows games that will run fine in WINE never ceases to amaze me.

Vista 64bit is full of problems. Vista 32bit isnt. I bought it ages ago and this is the first problem. The same problem occured to me on windows xp a few times but it let me activate it again. I believe this time it isnt because this is an OEM version.

Now we wait for the day when XP becomes obsolete![]()
IMO Windows 95 was the best OS out of all the WindowsesWait...no I don't...I just like the look of it.
windows 3.1 beats 95 anyday. Alot of people went back to 3.1 after trying 95. Kinda like vista and xp now, lol.
No, 3.11 was the bomb ><
Anyways, you could try to download windows 32 bit lite edition (Via torrent, it's legal because you own a Vista License)
