Fight fire with Fire I say. I love this game too and there is plenty to do when not grinding. I refuse to let it ruin MY enjoyment of the game. It's not some kind of huge moral or ethical dilemma. It's a game and only a game. I have felt the same as Twysta till only recently. I have pounded the table and cursed and gone on and on with my mates about the bots. I have signed off and pouted and fumed, the whole time wishing I was back on playing but not doing so out of trembling frustration. In the heat of battle trying to get somewhere, thinking about all your sp and how to most wisely use it and being just a few % away from leveling and not wanting to die and all these things driving you on and the bots are THERE on EVRY kill and you can't get just a simple sorry little patch of ground to yourself to work on and you're working the orange and the red and you're bad cause you've farmed and spent your sp well and they're grinding one hit kills and you can't get in there for love NOR MONEY. Phuck Em, 2 can play that game....

I quit for almost 6 months now since a little after the 80 cap raise but EURO is coming :s
SRO isn't dying when new servers are still popping up. Economically for JM, botters who buy silk are probably better than F2P players. The legit players are definitely dwindling though. By now it should be certain JM doesn't give a damn. EURO hopefully discourages solo botting based on the notion that a party is necessary (if indeed so) for effective play so JM's pathetic presence isn't necessary directly on the scene.

Bye Twista, even tough I didn't know you.
It's hard to quit something when it has become the main method of entretaining yourself. I stopped playing Silkroad for some time, I'm playing something else. But it always leaves that emptiness away until you can fill it up again, and it takes some time and courage to keep on.
I'm also a dyehard player. I kept on since December 2005. When the first friend that quit because of a bot did it, I tough he was insane. Bots still were a minority. But it keeps going downhill, and even those that resisted all this time can't stand it anymore.
Most of the people that keep playing either a) cheats b) doesn't care c) is about to quit.
I also try to have fun without having bots to bother me, but it's hard when you can't even freaking log in. I'm know for being a player that likes to waste a lot of time doing nothing at Jangan South Gate (not necessarily PvPing, Jobbing or whatever-ing). But when everyone you see around are botters, you feel out of place.
I hope you get better ways of entretaining yourself (and of living) now.

Gawd, gotta love that Joymax food.
Oh...I see you've eaten at my restaurant...next time try the chowder!
Twista, good luck with all of your endeavors! It is people like you that keep me on the legit grind. Maybe you should be the founder of S.R.A. for all the rest of the addicts(including myself)
...Who am I kidding...Rehab is for Quitters!!!!!!
