Quick question, Does your Weapon skill mastery increase your overall Nuke damage?

Nope. It only increases your damage with weapon skills. Raising your force (fire, lightning, cold) trees will result in higher powered nukes.

Wrong track, you need weapon attacks to prevent your enemy from doing damage to you, such as with knock back, stun, and knock down. That allows you a bit of space to pot up and also allows you not to be knocked down, stunned, knock backed by others. They're are also generally a lot quicker than nukes.

You could also do fire/light/ice, then you have a crap load of nukes which are all strong, and mana shield.
You could have 30 masteries into weapon as well, and that would be good for passive.
But generally in pvp nukers will use weapon skills.
