let see well first you equip your merchant flag then you summon a transport camel or horse and buy the goods until fill at 1* if you get 2* just start selling thing 1 by one until it's in the limit of 1* then check you have pots weapons and they have been repair after that you need to go to the ferry depending from where to where you are going some ferry have less people than other but that's just some days ,one tip is stay away of the main roads because of the high lvl thiefs can summon a high lvl thief npc and kill you and stole your goods

my best advice for lvl 20 traders :

only do trade runs if you REALY REALY need an extra 30 k orso ,
dont bother to trade run for pure profits till lvl 30 , at witch point you can get a cammy or a horse that has waaay more hit points ,

Better still, only do trade runs if you can stand to loose 30k or so. I think trade runs in your 20's are important. Not for the money, but for the experience. Especially if it is your first character, you need that experience. Just do it knowing that only half or less of your trade runs will be successful while doing it solo, til you get to lvl 25 or so. I am not talking about xp, I am talking about you as a player getting experience.

Loosing a few trades to 1* poppers and the environment will make you a better trader later on. That's important.

Party with larger groups who have hunters, or just a higher level hunter, if you need the money.

On a 30-40 min 1* trade at lvl 41, I make somewhere between 80k and 90k per run (a 3* gives me what? another 30k - 40k? pfffft!). I can make twice that just by grinding my lvl in the same amount of time. Even with crappy drops.

Trade runs, are just not as profitable as they should be. I mean shouldn't they be significantly more profitable than grinding? But they are fun.
